34. Just Spill It

I know Tyler is up to something, he did not fool me. I just set the last platter of food on the table. Taking my seat just as him and Nathan come walking in.

Tyler leans down to kiss my cheek, before he sits down. "We made it just in time."

"Did everything go well?" I ask.

Tyler's hand stops midway of grabbing one of the rolls.

"At the boarder?" I simply ask, throwing it back at him on what he told me.

I watch as he visibly relaxes along with Nathan. "Oh yeah. Nothing to big going on there."

Dinner carries on in light conversation. I help take the dishes back to the kitchen, with Alastair following me carrying a load.

"So I am guessing you have known, yes?" He asks, or seems to be asking.

"That they was not going to the boarder? I figured that out when they was the only two running off. No alarms went off or mindlink, so I knew it was not to serious."

Alastair let's a small laugh out. It is the first time I have heard him do that. It is cute.

We walk out of the kitchen and the dining room is clear of anyone. Well there is only place they would be, the office. So I prepare myself for the walk up the stairs.

Opening the door to the office, I spot them both on the couch with a glass of dark liquid in their hands. "Liquid encouragement I take it."

They both jump and look at me. There goes the lost puppy dog look on not just one but on both.

"What is troubling both of you? Who died?" I ask.

"No one died, yet." Nathan answers.

"Why don't you have a seat?" Tyler gestures to the chair in front of them.

I move over, sitting down quick. Alastair stands off in the corner of the room.

"You do this." Tyler says, almost in a whisper looking at Nathan.

"Your her mate. You do it." Nathan's eyes look like a deer caught in headlights.

"Guys, just spill it can't be as bad as finding out that I am apparently the One." They are making me nervous.

Nathan rubs the back of his neck. "Claire, your my half sister."

What? "Okay. I am going to need a little more then that Nathan."

"Alice is not your biological mother, she adopted you. Bill is your biological father, however." Tyler answers.

Strangely enough, I am calm. "So who is my biological mother?" I ask.

"We don't know that exactly. The only thing Bill told us is she was a rogue, who his true mate. Apparently, Alice and Bill was never true mates. They just liked each other got married, had me then divorced." Nathan looks at me finally.

"What now? I know Steve was trying to figure out the family lines. I mean this narrows his search on one end, I guess." I ask.

"Your surprising calm." Nathan says.

"Your still my brother, half blood or full blood. I don't see a reason to blow out of proportions, because of what we just found out. It is sick that he would be this way, sure. Maybe if we didn't have all of this going on, I may react differently." I shrug my shoulders.

"Bill will be put to trail eventually. He killed the previous pack doctor." Tyler adds in.

"I don't even have words to say to that." I look over at him.

This is all crazy. I mean, I'll always see Alice as my mom. As for dad well I could care less, he acted fine all these years and with him it's just some big lie.

"Did you two have the ones sent off to spy?" I ask, needing to bring the conversation around.

"Yes they are already gone by now with the time it is." Tyler finishes the drink and stands moving over to the desk. "I seen you had the book earlier. Anything new on the reading front?"

"No same things we gone over before. It mentions being near death for the first half then becoming full potential once accepting herself as last part." I stare at the book laying on the table.

Why can't it give more information?

"I may be of some help?" Alastair speaks up.

We all look at him, to continue. I am at the point any further help would be appreciated.

"This is not just a Legend in your history, but for all shapeshifters. This One is a powerful shewolf. The lineage would bring forth many strong women until the right One would rise again. The very first shewolf shifter lived many years ago, until her death trying to ward off an evil being. She is said to hold power over all, due to the capablilites she will have. Older wiser shapeshifters would be able to feel her when the timing is right. That is how I knew, and vow to protect because there is others that don't trust someone being stronger then they." He moves to sit on the couch.

"The One must come to a point of being right at the brink of death or even lose her heartbeat for a few seconds. Then on the next full moon thereafter she will transform for the first time, as the second step in the process. If she accepts the change, then she will start to experience the different powers she will have." He finishes.

"Does anyone know what she will be fully capable of doing?" Nathan asks, looking at me.

If they keep looking at us funny I will make them regret it. Hush you. Now is not the time, I am trying to focus.

"That is unsaid if it will differ from the first shewolf." Alastair answers.

"I know not having all the answers is confusing, but time will tell. Claire already has the hidden wolf, no matter what the tests shown. She phases out at times, like someone is talking to her. Which would be her wolf and the best thing to do is accept her now." Alastair looks over to me.

"I don't want this though." I mumble.

"What do you mean by accept the change? When a wolf is ready to transform we are not able to stop it." Tyler speaks up. "I don't want my mate to more than likely die either, for no cause or reason!"

"I would not blame you Alpha. I, myself, do not wish for that to happen to Claire." Alastair looks back at Tyler.

"As for the the change, there is but one way to not accept change." Alastair stops, with a grim look. "That is by choice choosing death."
