Sore

Sore. That is all I feel. How is possible to be sore in so many places? Tyler was not kidding around about one last mission last night. It was a complete success if that mission was to make me feel like I am. Thankfully, this shower is helping take some of the tension out of my muscles.

I move into the closet and take a pair of jeans and a semi nice top out. Nothing to fancy, but Layla has been on me about looking more Luna. If she is thinking dresses than that chick does not know me at all. In the time I have known her that girl is all about fashion and it is obvious on just how clueless I truly am in that department.

Throwing my hair up in a messy bun, I quickly slip into some flats and leave the room. Knowing that Tyler is already in his office, having been there since freaking dawn. I suspect he is making calls to our allies, Greg and Cole.

Not bothering to knock on the door I walk right in, causing Tyler to glance up in my direction and wave me over to his side. I can see right off he has already took the gauze off, along with the stitches gone. Silently cursing the healing speeds of his, I stand next to his chair.

"You have been busy." Pulling up the papers to read what they say.

"Both of the other Alpha's had the exact same thing happen yesterday. With the exact same number of rogues as we had counted. So that brings the total rogues with all three attacks up to a minimum of ninety dead, not even counting the ones that ran off." Tyler sets his pen down and looks off to my side.

Sweet moon! When in the heck did my brother show up?

Strap a bell to them. Not a bad thought.

"Did any of the others capture one like we did?" I ask looking back at his notes, noticing that is one thing not on the paper.

"No. We was the only ones that has one for questioning. Which means it is currently on us to get answers from the one we have." Tyler stands up.

"Alpha. Are you ready to see if the thing will speak?" Nathan finally speaks up.

"Lets go. Claire you can stay here in the house with the others." Tyler talks while walking to the door, with Nathan on his heels.

"I don't think so. I am coming with you two." I am literally having to speed walk to keep up with these two and their long legs.

We arrive at the cells, the first thing that hits is the smell. Musty dirt and iron hit my nose, making me inwardly cringe. It is not like I was thinking, there is not much noise. The only noise is the grunts and sounds of something hitting its target.

We only have the rogue here. There is no other prisioners within the cells currently. Tyler mindlinks me. I give him a small nod.

Well, that is good to know that we do not have cells full of prisioners.

Walking up the where the grunts are coming from, to see a man covered in blood wearing clothes that looks more like rags.

I stay on on the outside of the silver bars. Resting my hand on the cold metal, I watch as Tyler and Nathan are both let into the cell by a guard wearing gloves.

Tyler waves the guards off to move to the edge of the room. He steps up to the rogue and seems to be looking at him head to toe.

"What is your plan?" Tyler's voice booms around us in this small area.

The rogue does nothing but laugh in Tyler's face.

"Who are you following? Who's orders are you following to come up and act in this manner?" Tyler is not relenting one bit.

When he talks it has such a forceful command behind it, the guards are flinching but the rogue is just hanging there still.

"Moon." A raspy voice comes from the rogue.

"Explain. Now. This is your one and only warning. You have lost any patience I may have had when you and your friends attacked my pack." Tyler spits as he talks.

Having never seen him this mad before has me reeling back, but I think his wolf is coming up to the surface as his skin is a darker color.

"The moon has sent us all. We know the girl lives in this era. She is here walking on this earth as we live and breath." The rogue finally looks up, but all I see scares me. There is a haze over his eyes and he seems to be looking straight through Tyler.

"We will find her. When that day comes, one of us will end her life before the great preeminent whore can blink. That girl is an abomination to our kind. There is no living creature that should be able to do all she will be capable of. We will not stop. My master will not stop." The rogue is laughing hysterically to plain air.

"Who is your master?" Tyler speaks up with command continuing behind his words.

No one moves or says anyting further. I hold my breath. This is finally the moment we learn who is truly behind this whole nonsense.

A choking gurgle sounds out through the cell as the rogue spits something to the ground. The guards rush over to push him harder against the wall as Tyler wraps his hand around the rogues throat.

Nathan steps up to bend down to the ground, inspecting whatever the rogue spit out.

"It's his tongue." Those are the only three words from Nathan's mouth.

My stomach just drops to the ground and bile rises in my throat. Trying to swallow it back down is not easy as a swimming feeling starts to rush over me.

"Useless!" Tyler roars out, before storming out of the cells.
