This is perfection being here with my girl by the lake. I cannot believe she rode me no issues coming here. Although, I hid my nerves to Claire before letting Niko take over, it was the very first time she would be meeting the other half of me.
Watching her through Niko's eyes as she jump onto our back, all I could do is laugh; surprisingly for the first time in my life Niko even let a little laugh out, the beast has never had a since of humor until our mate came into our life. Now all the fool wants to do is lick all over Claire, just like a love sick puppy.
I am enjoying this time between just us, getting to know each other better. Claire is so incredibly smart, it is hard to believe I am so lucky to have a mate like her. She thinks she is the lucky one, but truly it is the other way around. The packs loves her so much and everything she does it does not go unnoticed by anyone on how she takes time to help the members in any way she can.
I can feel Niko there listening to every word that comes out of Claire's mouth. We both held our breath and about choked on plain air when it hit me we never put a condom on. Thankfully our girl was one step ahead. Not that I am opposed to kids but I honestly want more time with her, just being us.

I don't bother replying to Niko with his cranky attitude, but drop the mental barrier anyways. As soon as it is down Nathan and John are yelling in my head. I stiffen instantly, only a few words I can understand, but I catch Nathan saying there is rogues at the boarder. Jumping up, I pull Claire with me and make a run for the tree lines. I have just enough time to mumble to Claire that this would be fast, knowing she caught onto something being up.
Niko does not give me anymore time before we are standing on all fours, and he is using his head to push Claire onto our back, as he takes off running towards the pack house. Once we reach the house Claire slides off and Niko nudges her towards the house. The last thing we want is for her to be out here. I watch as she moves toward the door. Niko is not wasting time as he turns us around and heads for the boarder.
Sending a quick mind link to Claire to stay inside and that she will be safe there, I turn my attention back to the issue at hand.
The smell off dirt and body odor burns at my nose, seeing Nathan and John in their wolves as well as several warriors. I come to a stop and shift back, not caring about the nudity in this situation. I can feel Niko on edge, as we look out right at the boarder line there is around thirty rogues standing there.
Taking a step out in front of my pack, "What busy do you have here?" I ask, letting the authority in my voice to seep out. Noticing a few of the rogues instantly flinch, good at least they seem to know who they are dealing with.
"We wish to join our pack." One steps slightly forward, but still cautious not to cross the line.
"Are you willing to go through the proper way?" I keep my gaze on the one who spoke out.
