Beeping. That is the first thing that comes to my ears. Feeling a warm tingling sensation on my hand, I tighten my grip."Baby?" I hear Tyler's voice.
"Music to my ears, Ty." I open my eyes to see he is leaning over me.
Tyler smiles and kisses my lips tenderly. When he pulls back there is a few tears in his eyes.
I watch as he moves over to sit in a chair right against the bed.
I move my arms, so I can sit up in bed. Pushing myself up, I about jump out of my skin when extra hands land on my shoulder.
"My apologizes, Luna." Alastair looks down at the floor.
"Why in the sane heck are you saying that again for?" I ask him.
"I made you jump." Alastair mumbles.
"That is my fault, not yours. I should have known you would be here too. Your a good friend of mine, please don't go back to calling me Luna again." I try and get him to look at me, but he just won't.
"I failed you though. I couldn't keep you safe." He moves over to the wall.
"Don't do that to yourself. If you think I am mad then your beyond wrong. I know without a doubt in my mind you tried. I was there, and I remember what happened back in the secret room. That gas had something in it to affect you too, because it's not like you would take a willing nap." I try and joke.
Alastair comes back towards the bed and sits in the chair.
Looking at both men, I can see the red marks on their skin from healing wounds. "So what all happened?" I ask.
Tyler rubs his face and looks at me. "The most of the liquid from the syringe, which was potassium, did get in you. High dose like that caused your heartrate to drop. And I." Tyler stops and looks at me.
"And what?" My voice comes out soft, I may already know this answer. I just need to hear it.
"Just as we made it back here, your heart stopped." Alastair answers, sadness lacing his tone.
"How long have I been out since then?" I ask.
I just need to know if I escaped this full moon or not.
"Tonight you will transform, yes." Alastair finally looks at me.
"You have until dark, so there is still a little over eleven hours." Tyler looks at the clock behind him.
"Could I just be given something to sleep through it?" I try to joke.
I really need get some type of humor in here. They both just look at me like I done lost it.
"I am just going to take it as it comes. I can't fight it." I sit back against the pillows.
"Your going to fight the pain, baby." Tyler has a sad express.
"Positive think only please. Okay enough with the sad mood. I got eleven hours then I will worry about it." I look between both men.
"Now onto what all happened. I remember seeing you two and Nathan, then feeling safe and out I went." I look directing to Tyler for answers.
"Alastair was able to pin point where you was so the three of us as you know came for you. While Greg and Cole took around two hundred warriors and stormed the rogues and pack members of Saul's. Then Nathan ended Bill." He answers.
"That is good. What about Saul?" I ask.
Tyler goes to answer, but footsteps stop him. Nathan pops his head around the corner.
No sooner than he sees me sitting up in bed, he lunges for me. Tackling me in a hug, causing Tyler to growl and Alastair to jump up next to us.
Darting my eyes to Tyler, I give him a look to knock it off. Wrapping my arms around Nathan, I can feel my shoulder wet.
"I am so glad to see you awake." Nathan sniffs.
"I'm here, although this grip you got is a little tight." I laugh as he releases me and stands at the end of my bed.
"Thank you all three for coming to get me." My eyes start tearing.
I see Layla walk in the room and give her a warm smile, as she wraps her arms around Nathan. This right here in this room is my family now. My mate, brother, and close friends.
I shake my head some. "So Saul?" I ask. Needing to change the subject, before this coming a crying fest.
"He is dead. Our problems are finally over." Tyler sighs sitting back in his chair.
"No it isn't over." My voice comes out soft.
All four look at me with wide eyes.
"I know so much has happened, but remember the dance. That call Saul made we didn't know if he had a partner or is a puppet. Then the first rogue from the first attack mentioned Master." I say.
I watch as all four nod their heads remembering.
"When I woke up in the cell, that was the only time I seen Saul while there. He kept saying to give my powers to him like I could just hand them over, but he just didn't want the Master to have them. Bill also mentioned a Master also." I finish.
Everyone is silent taking in what I just told them. Layla shuffles over and sits next to me on the bed.
"So we are back to square one on not knowing who is behind this." Nathan mumbles.
"Maybe I shouldn't have gave orders on Saul. We could have at least get him to spill." Tyler grunts out.
"Saul would not have gave him up. I'm not sure that he honestly could. Whoever this Master is, he is powerful just from the way Saul spoke. Saul was just a puppet and an easy one to use." I add in.
"How many more puppets could this guy have? Not to even mention the weird red glow in the veins of the dead rogues." Tyler looks up at me.
"That is not going to be easy, figuring it all out. In time he will show hisself, yes." Alastair finally speaks up.
"I agree with Alastair. Besides right now we need to find the traitors within this pack also. Someone here knew of the secret walls and came straight for you." Tyler growls.
The thought of more people in our pack that is traitors makes my blood boil.
