How to accept our body and soul as separated when we cannot exist without both?
We talk about our body and soul as separate elements. Our body is kshetra and soul is a part of Paramatma, known as a Kshetragya as Shri Krishna describes. Our Veda says the same thing as
भोक्ता भोग्यम् प्रेरितारं मत्वा।
सर्वं प्रोक्तं त्रिविधं ब्रह्ममेतत् ।।( श्र्वेताश्र्वतरउपनिषद-१,१२)
Eternal Brahm is seen in three Swaroop as Bhokta, Bhogya and Prerita. One is Prakruti, the nature. The other is Purush Brahma and the third who combines both is a complete Brahma, the one who inspires Prerita. One is Bhokta, considered as Jiv . The other is witness, known as a soul. And the third is outside our body omnipresent, yet unknown to all, is Paramatma. Jivatma is in search of that complete eternal Brahm from whom he is separated and dwells in various yonis for a person who lives in Sansar creates various kinds of bondage because he dwells only in the materialists' world. He tries to do something through his body of five karmendriyas, five Gyanendriya, Mind, and Buddhi. His goal is just one and that is to satisfy his physical desires and accomplishment of senses.
As we know our body is bound to take various births, it grows and it dies but the soul remains untouched of everything. When a Sadhak wants to acquire pure knowledge of Brahm, he should try to control his speech; He should not accumulate things for the future. He should never think about gaining materialists benefits from other sources or efforts. He should remain free from desires of entertaining senses and he should try to meditate on Paramatma in a solitary state because when he becomes steady and when he could live happily in a solitude state, he could control his senses When he could control his senses, his Chitta would be calm and cool. When all his desires and thoughts subside in peace, he would be free from pride and ego. Then he must abandon his pride and ego as a doer, he would dwell in eternal ecstasy in meditation. Vivekanandji says ,
O, man! You try to control your mind through your speech. You try to control your mind through your Buddhi. You try to control your Buddhi by making him only a witness and you try to do everything as you have to be absorbed by complete Paramatma and you would gain eternal ecstasy because when our body, senses, Pran, mind, and Buddhi remain attached to Sansar, we become Sansari and when they are attached to Brahma we turns to Bhakti. Hence we should try to remain detached from the demand of senses.
Our five Gyanendriyas, five karmendriyas, five Pran, mind and Buddhi all these seventeen elements make our Sukshma Sharir. This Sukshma Sharir is created as follows. Pran creates Brahma, MAN creates MANOMAY KOSH. Buddhi creates VIGYANMAY KOSH. The food we eat creates ANNA MAY KOSH. All the five elements water, light, air, the sky makes our physical body by the contribution of our parents' RAJ and VIRYA and they are known as Sthula Sharir. It is also known as ANNA MAY KOSH The strange thing is that it could exist because of our Atma and it gets corrupted by Atma further ignorance is known as KARAN Sharir. We have knowledge about visible things or whatever we feel through our senses but whatever is beyond our experience or invisible to us is difficult to understand as it can be said for both because Paramatma and holy spirit and for dark spirit Bhut Pishach. Aadhyatma says that अज्ञानमेवास्य हि मूल कारणम् AGYANMEVASYAS HI MOOL KARANAM. The entire problem is about misunderstanding because of ignorance makes this Karan Sharir with our habits, nature, or Prakruti. When we are awakened our sthula Sharir is activated in karma though trio- world together while we are dreaming in sleep as a Sukshma Sharir is activated of them our karma Sharir is too involved in that process. But whenever we are asleep we are not conscious of what sthula Sharir as it is made from ANNA MAY KOSH Sukshma Sharir made by Pran mind and Vigyanmay is also not activated in sleep our Buddhi does not do any activity or does any kriya and remain ignorance utterly. Hence our Karan Sharir is also not activated we feel joy is happy when we are awakened or when we sleep under dreams but under sleep, we forget our pain and sorrow we become peaceful and happy. Hence Karan Sharir is known as AANADMAY KOSH. Whenever we talk about Sharir we mean all these Swaroop of bodies. This Sharir is known as KSHETRA goes on to change every moment as the sky changes fast as if we have sown a seed and even if we forget, the process of growth under the earth would remain continuous. Paramatma never sleeps. In the same sense, any sight of a person, place, or scene is remembered for ages. The seed of Good habit or thought sown knowingly or unknowingly grows and makes it a habit, In that sense body is known as Kshetra . Our attachment to the body makes us think as I am rich,I am intelligent and scholar, poor or handicapped but if we don't think of this body like mine and remain detached from it we could understand or acquire knowledge for Paramatma for Salvation.
रुपं दृश्यं लोचनं दृक् तददृश्यं दृक् तु मानसम् .
दृश्या धावृतयः साक्षी दृगोव न तु दृश्यते ।।
We see through our eyes whether it is a beautiful thing or ugly sight. Then our mind creates a memory good or bad. Hence our mind becomes Drishta and sight becomes the scene. Then our mind becomes the Drishta and our eyes and senses become the scene. Then our Buddhi becomes the Drishta and our mind becomes the scene. In the end, whatever Buddhi we have, becomes the intensions of Drishta but the soul remains as a witness only. It never enters in any kind of this process. For example, when we see a beautiful scene through our senses eyes, remembers the scene, nose remembers the smell, ears remembers the sound, and the mind remembers all the changes in Gyanendriya as whether we see something clearly or whether our vision is blurred and we cannot see in it even in daytime or during the night. But our Buddhi can see it, hence changes created by the mind are known to us by our Buddhi and it inspires our senses to take interest in things as it ...but
When the soul is independent, how could he see the function of the mind and inspire Buddhi?
Let us understand fromour great God and Jagat Guru Shri Krishna....
