Which are the Siddhis that mislead Sadhak on the path of Salvation?
Kathopnishad says our soul - Paramatma is considered as a holy swan. HANSA- हँसः It exists in the sky in the form of liquid and holds everything so it is called वसुः It is an ATITHI (SOMA) अतिथि-सोम staying in the pot –KALASH. It is like a host who pays AAHUTI आहुति in the Yagna It exists within the human body, in all kinds of Best things, in all types of Yagna, emerges from the water, pops up from the earth, come out from the ऋत –the instruments-organs of Yagna and it takes birth from the mountains in the form of ऋत-सत्य truth.
The soul is considered as HANSA- हँसः the word HANSA means Hanti – हन्ति that which goes. शुचि shows that it moves in the form of the Sun so it is considered as शुचिषत्. It is omnipresent as air so it is considered as वसुः and moves in the sky hence known as अन्तरिक्षसत् When it comes to earth, it becomes VEDI- वेदि of the Yagna so it is वेदिषत् So Rig-Veda says this VEDI is the holiest part of the earth. ३.२0) It walks in the sky व्योम so it is known as व्योमसत् I It is in the form of अप् -SHANKH, CHHEEP and crocodile in the water so it is अब्जा it is known as गो. It emerges out of earth in the form of व्रीहि यव so it is गोजा. It comes from the mountain in the form of rivers so it is considered as अद्रिजा It lives in the home in the Swaroop of BRAHMAN-ATITHI so it is अतिथिः दुरोणसत्. It is omnipresent so it is SARVATMA ऋत सर्वात्मा and the greatest one so it is बृहत् and like Sun –omnipresent. There is no difference between Soul and Paramatma but Soul and Paramatma have no pride in any Siddhis or creation. Soul neither thinks of him as karta nor Bhokta because it is a part of Paramatma but Pride and Ego are the characteristics of the human mind. When a person becomes Sadhak and remains detached from his body of eleven gates with his so sweet and selfless nature, never becomes happy or sad. Whatever goes on in his worldly life could not distract him he could remain free from all kinds of worldly bondage.
Eleven gates are two eyes, two nostrils, two ears, a mouth, GUDA, UPASTH, naval and BRAHMRANDHRA make this human body. A Sadhak who does ANUSTHAN of Paramatma abandoning joy and sorrows of body could be free from the Sansar because he knows that THIS IS PARAMATMA. When a Sadhak achieves Siddhi, he tries to show them to the world, and when his pupils and people show his achievements of TAP they consider Sadhak as a Swaroop of Paramatma and want to be free from their pains and sorrow, diseases, and depression .loss and poverty, fear and misdeeds PAP through miracles and the feeling of being BHGAWAN in the eyes of people distract Sadhak from the path of salvation.
Goswami Tulsidasji describes in his Hanuman Chalisa, Hanumanji as an owner of ASTA SIDDHI, These Siddhis are ANIMA, MAHIMA, GARIMA, LADHIMA, PRAPTI, PRAKAMYA, ISHITVA and VASHITVA through which a Sadhak can enter in any kind of body and take any kind of Swaroop. ANIMA means to reduce own body into a small particle like ANU so nobody can see him with the naked eye as we cannot see particles. MAHIMA is totally opposite to ANIMA Siddhi. It means to extend own body in the unlimited length, breadth, and depth with the greatest weight so nobody can move it a little. LAGHIMA makes Sadhak's body so light that he can fly like air with the greatest speed as his body is reduced to the lowest weight near to zero. PRAPTI SIDDHI allows A Sadhak to go everywhere without any obstacles and he can remain invisible to all. PRAKAMYA SIDDHI blesses a Sadhak with the power to understand the hidden thoughts of mind of anybody even if he or she does not say a word. ISHITVA SIDDHI blesses a Sadhak Swaroop of God he could be worshipped by people as God. VASHITVA SIDDHI blesses Sadhak's power to control anybody and make him a slave or defeat him even if he may be known as the strongest warrior. When Sadhak achieves Siddhi, he forgets his goal of being free from the cycle of birth and death.
Hence Rishi Pippalad says to six Rishis in the Gyan Satra to know Paramatma in whom all the Siddhis are established in the fullest forms just as all the sticks are connected with the wheel of a chariot if you know what the chariot means you should not think of sticks of wheels in the same way if you know Paramatma you should not worry about acquisition of various Siddhis because Siddhi could nether prevent your death nor make you free from the cycle of birth and death.
When you know the ultimate source of truth Paramatma ASTA SIDDHI NAV NIDHI sixty-four KALAS and 72 VIDHYAS would seem useless to you because no achievement of Siddhis and Nidhi, Kalas and Vidhya protect you from death. Just as the wooden sticks are connected to the wheel in the center Paramatma is the NAVAL of all Siddhi, Nidhi, Kala, and Vidhya. When A Sadhak knows Paramatma he could be free from the cycle of birth and death. fear of unsteady life's ups and downs so Lord Shri Krishna says that when a Sadhak could be free from the Sansar and remain detached from trio-bodies, he could have NIRVIKALPA BODH In his AATMABODH Shri Shankaracharyaji says repeatedly that when a Sadhak becomes free from all kinds of expectations and when a Sadhak desires nothing no Yug, no Kalpa, no Sarga or no yoni birth and death, no Pralay make any difference to him. he feels himself a part of Paramatma AHAM BRAHMASMI and the fear of birth and death remains no more.
Shri Krishna says, O Arjun! I am emerging from my self. My original nature is to emerge from nature. I establish BIJ in the womb of NATURE and all kinds of living emerge from that Prakruti.
Paramatma is free from being small or big according to Shwetashwatar Upanishad Paramatma is in the smallest form of a particle and he is in the biggest form VIRAT and BRUHAD. So Paramatma is known as MAHATBRAHM where MAHAT means the entire universal element – the universal knowledge. Prakruti stays between these two MAHAT and BRAHM. HENCE Prakruti is known as MAHATBRAHM and this Prakruti cannot be destroyed even in SARGA and Pralay. Where SARGA refers to a day of Brahm and Pralay refers to a night of BRAHM. A DEVOTEE who becomes free from the cycle of birth and death JIVANMUKTA are detached from Vikars of Prakruti hence they never take rebirth in MAHASARGA and never absorbed during MAHAPRALAY.
Mahat stands for Buddhi –the universe and BRAHM stands for Paramatma so it is Mahat Brahm. This is the place from where everything emerges so it is considered as YONI. Original nature from where an endless universe emerges and absorbed after every KALP with tremendous power and strength When a Sadhak is a part of this BRUHAD SWAROOP of Paramatma, he should not worry about birth or death but when a person thinks his relation with Prakruti is real he is bound to remain in the cycle of birth and death. All the creatures of this universe with various kinds of bodies and nature, different kinds of sizes, and different kinds of habits from Prakruti –the ultimate mother, and Paramatma the Only Purush –father is the BIJ .
As we know all kinds of creatures are born as जरायुज- born as humans, animals, etc अण्डज – comes out from eggs स्वेदज emerges from perspiration as lice उद्भिज्ज pop out from the earth as plants, bamboo trees or creepers. Every kind of JARAYUJ, ANDAJ, SWEDAJ, and UDBHIJ creates multiple millions and billions of creatures and livings and surprisingly no creatures are the same in color, shape, size, appearance, or habit. Millions and trillions of bodies are created in every Yug but no two creatures are the same every JIV is unique and there is no repetition in Paramatma's creation even after each Yug or Kalpa. A poet wonderfully describes this when he says there are no similarities in two people's turbans, fate, speech, nature, shape, words, thoughts power strength, and writings so the crime department can catch the criminals easily. This wonderful creativity of Paramatma is described by the poet as ye
Then how does every creature feel bondage with Prakruti and not with Paramatma, when they both are Parents –the BIJ and the YONI?
Let us surrender to Lord Shri Krishna and try to understand from the speech given in Bhagavad Gita...Om Tat sat...Shri Krishnajpanmastu
