The Cherry Blossoms

Seonghwa's point of view

"Isn't this so romantic?"

Yeosang: If we were with our wives yes!

San deadpans.

I'm not sure how a group of men ended up on the streets of Japan during a couples retreat but here we are. San and Wooyoung stop every ten seconds to take picture in front of the cherry blossom tree making us all groan.

Yuta: If you guys would stop making your wives mad we wouldn't end up in predicaments like this.
Xiaojun: You're the one who told Elena she has split ends.
Yuta: She does!

Yuta's love language is being brutally honest with you, and sometimes that backfires; like now.

Me: You asked Arie if she was pregnant again.

Spoiler alert: she's not.

Xiaojun: I thought she was!
Wooyoung: She's just been eating well, leave her alone.
Xiaojun: And there's nothing wrong with that but her hormones have been crazy as well! Like sensitivity wise and, oh my God. Is it menopause?

Yeah this is why we're on the streets.

Yeosang: For seven idols y'all kind of quiet back there.
Minhyuk: Shut up.
San: It's not rocket science to know Changkyun pissed off Sannie number two.

I agree.

Changkyun: Why am I always the bad guy?
Hongjoong: Because you're always saying something.
Changkyun: I don't have to take that from you. You made Char upset.
Hongjoong: All I did was turn down a danish!
Me: A danish she made especially for you.
Hongjoong: I'm on a diet!
Wonho: Sounds like a bunch of excuses to me.

We've been walking for hours.

Yuta: Gon' head and tell them what you did to Cina Hwa.
Me: Why is it always me!
Changkyun: Because you're always..-
Me: Shut up. In my defense I was trying to help out Yeosang.

Yeosang and Cina were bickering and I told Cina he had a point.

I should've minded my damn business.

"So he's the one you wanna' choose, eh?"

Scary.

San: The cherry blossoms are so pretty. We should have a picnic!
Yeosang: They don't want to see us let alone look at us.
San: I meant with us. We'll give them time to cool off while we eat and snack out here.
Wooyoung: Good idea!

So out of force here I am with Yeosang and Wonho picking out deli meat to make sandwiches with. They stand their talking about ham and turkey.

Me: I prefer the spicy chicken breast.
Wonho: Oh I agree!

Food always makes him happy.

We grab a few drinks and snacks. Yeosang insists on getting a fruit and vegetable platter. Eat your food pyramid kids. A hour later we meet up with the rest of the guys in the park. San and Wooyoung lay out the blanket while the rest of us take out the food we got.

Xiaojun: Did you get the sushi, California rolls included?
Yuta: Yes you spoiled brat.
San: Cherry tomatoes! Awesome.

The a cherry blossom leaf lands on Xiaojun's hair, San and Wooyoung begins to squeal like two fan girls.

Wooyoung: Ya' know I'm not against..-
Xiaojun: Don't finish that sentence.

We laugh.

I hate to admit it but even-though it's a retreat for our marriages, spending time with these fools is equally as fun.

"Oh? What's this?"

All of us turn at the sound of Santana's voice. Our wives stand their with amused faces.

Cina: We kicked them out and they started dating each other.
San: Xiaojun wouldn't budge, you got yourself a good one Arie.

She giggles.

Elena: Do you guys mind if we join you?

Wooyoung sticks out his tongue.

Wooyoung: No girls allowed!
Elena: Wow, this has become the he-man women haters club I see.

Wonho is the first to fold, he opens his arms wide for Santana and she giggles. Cina throws her arms around Yeosang and I.

Her scent makes me smile every time, I never get sick of it.
