Santana's Point Of View
I shove my hands in the pockets of my sweatpants as I make my way from an early eight in the morning class. What the hell was I thinking even signing up for that? I yawn adjusting my ponytail in the process. I'm ready to eat and then go to bed.
My dorm mate Char seems pretty cool so far. We don't talk a lot but she's always sweet when we do. I haven't heard from my boyfriends in a while. I know they've been busy working on their album but I can't help but wonder if they miss me too. In the midst of thinking a girl and I bump into each other.
We both grab our foreheads sighing.
Me: Sorry.
Her: No my bad, I should've been paying attention.I've seen her around but don't know her name. She's pretty, maybe an inch shorter than me, long wavy hair that's a pretty sandy blonde color. She has light freckles scattered across her face.
Me: No worries.
Her: Your in one of my lab classes, Santana right?
Me: Yeah. She sticks her hand out.
Her: I'm Choi Cina.
Me: Nice to meet you.We shake hands and begin to laugh awkwardly when we realize we've been doing it way too long.
Cina: Sorry that was kinda' weird. Your hands are really soft though, what's your secret?
Me: Nothing too crazy, just shea butter.
Cina: Shea butter?
Me: Mhm, this brand.I show her a picture on my phone and her eyebrows creases.
Cina: You're a foreigner?
I blink.
Me: Yes, I'm black.
Cina: Hey, there's black koreans ya' know!
Me: My bad, touché!We laugh again.
Cina: To apologize for socking you with my big-ass head let me buy you a coffee.
Me: Oh not that's okay.
Cina: I insist. Plus I've been here a month already and I have zero friends.
Me: I understand that part completely. I only talk to my dorm mate here and there.
Cina: Are you single?I cringe.
Me: Technically yes.
Cina: Technically? On our way to the cafe I tell her about the whole taking a break thing. Of course I leave out the fact I'm in a polygamous relationship with one of the biggest kpop boy groups on the planet.
We order our drinks and take a seat in a corner booth.
Cina: Wow, I wish I had a boyfriend. I just broke up with my ex.
Me: Really? I'm sorry.She shrugs.
Cina: It's alright we ended on good terms. Our sex lives didn't match very well.
This girl is so open and confident with everything that she saids, I love it.
Me: Is he like vanilla and you're sadistic?
Cina: We're both on the submissive side.
Me: Oh that sucks.
Cina: I know right!A few feet over a boy takes a seat at the table. He has a large black coffee, making Cina and I tie up our faces.
Me: I would suggest him but he's drinking an all black coffee. Clearly a serial killer.
Cina: Agreed! He's really cute though.I squint.
Me: That's Kang Yeosang, I've seen him around a lot. People talk because he's a heir or something.
Cina: Oh a richy rich boy.He glances over at us, a blank look on his face.
We tilt our heads looking back at him until he looks away.
Cina: Oh he definitely think we're weirdos now.
We laugh.
After the cafe she walks me back to the dorms. As weird as it sounds talking to her came easy. Usually I'm weary of strangers, but the connection with her was as if I've known her my entire life.
Cina: Let's swap numbers.
We exchange phones typing in our contact information.
Cina: See ya' later Santana!
Me: See ya'!___
THE PRESENT
I sit on Cina's bed flicking through a magazine, as she bends over ass naked in the tall mirror.
Cina: I think for a new girl she did pretty good with my Brazilian wax. Not a piece of hair left.
Yeosang walks in the bedroom pausing at the sight in front of him.
Me: Hey Sangie.
Cina: Hey baby.He backs away slowly and out the door.
Me: Yep, definitely thinks we're still weirdos.
We both laugh.
