San's point of view
Cina marches in the office, all blue scrubs and matching crocs. Her wavy brown and black hair swaying from side to side.
"SEONGHWA!"
"SEONGHWAAA!"
Me: He's wired in.
Cina: Sorry?
Me: He's wired in.
Cina: Is he?
She picks up his laptop and slam it against his desk.
Ha, the social network humor.
Seonghwa raises an eyebrow, a bit surprised at the broken computer but not too surprised at his wife's anger. I did have a meeting to go to but I think I'm going to skip and just be nosey.
I sit at my desk "working."
Cina: You're an asshole.
Seonghwa: You knew that before you married me.
Cina: Why can't you just have a simple conversation? Your communication skills are shitty.
Seonghwa: Because if I don't want to talk about something I won't.
Cina: Yeah but if your wife tells you something bothers her you need to talk about it, and vice versa!
The assistant Bonnie walks in.
Bonnie: Is everything okay Mr.Park? Should I call security?
Cina: Call security and you'll be leaving on a stretcher Bonnie. I'm his wife and you already know that.
I pull a bag of mini cheez-its from my lunch bag.
Bonnie: Mr.Park..-
Me: I've known Mrs.Park-Kang since college. Believe me when I say she will try to fight you. Let these married people deal with marriage issues.
She sighs before closing the door. Frick and frack go back to glaring at each other. I should be recording this to show Saelee later. We were just talking about how they barely argue.
Cina: I only popped up here because you haven't answered my calls or texts.
Seonghwa: I've been working.
Cina: I'm a damn surgeon and chief of hospital but still text and call you back!
He groans.
Seonghwa: I'm sorry, I've been stressed at work so I've been a mess at home.
It's like watching a live soap opera.
Cina: You being stressed isn't why I'm upset, all of our jobs are stressful. But you don't understand you can vent to me about it, scream about it, cry about it. don't sit there holding it all in.
I nod.
Me: I agree with Cinnie, Saelee does the same thing. It sucks even more when the person is mad at you when you're just trying to help.
Cina: Exactly. If I'm upset at work, I try to leave it at work.
Me: Very important to leave work at work, never cross boundaries.
Cina: Right!
Seonghwa points between us two.
Seonghwa: Am I interrupting something?
Me: Years ago you did.
Seonghwa: San I swear to God.
Cina sighs.
Cina: Regardless, communication.
Seonghwa: You're right. I'm sorry.
She smiles coming around the desk to sit on his lap.
Cina: It's okay, tell Bonnie I'm sorry for threatening her.
We laugh.
