(Missin' by girly just in case you want to listen to it while reading;))

(Camilo's)

" And when Antonio let us visit his room, It's the first time I actually saw a large body of water! with lots of lilies, flowers, and fish! Back at home the only body of water I see is either my bathtub, or tap water...." she continues

" I'm glad you're comfortable talking to me, amor. Tell me how every day of your life is going from now on, okay? I'm proud of you." I said after she finished talking and patted her head earning a cute yet small smile from her.

" Can I hold your hand?" I asked and she nodded. " I held her hand and pulled her gently to follow me. I led us to the lake and she gave me a questioning look, I gestured her to swim with me but she said

" We shouldn't be doing this, it's night!" I smiled,

" That's the fun part princesa, let's do things we shouldn't do." I said offering my hand after taking my ruana off, placing it on the ground.

She hesitates, " You can trust me." I gave her a reassuring smile, she took my hand and I walked with her towards the water, slowly soaking our bodies.

She giggles " Fun right?" I asked and she squeezed my hand tighter and stopped walking making me look at her mouthing 'what's wrong?'

" I can't swim..." she looks away and I chuckled. I let go of her hand. " hey you said I could trust you!" She shouts shakily. I walked a few steps far from her, faced her and opened my arms

" Yes you can, now jump Hermosa! " She took a minute and closed her eyes, controlling her breathing, then finally jumps into my arms, hanging onto me like a koala. She's as light as a feather. " You can open your eyes now."

I said as I rub her back, she slowly opens her eyes and widened them, not believing she trusted you. " w-wow..." she stuttered, using her fingers to play with the water. " See? it's not so bad right?" I felt her nod.

" You're not alive when you're not living, amor. You can choose who you trust, who you talk to, and spend your time with." I said patting her back,

" And I'm glad I'm one of the persons you chose." she pulled back a little, her eyes meeting mine.

Her wet hair pulled back, letting me see her face more clearly, I looked to her right eye and saw a scar on her eyelid. Tía does heal wounds, but scars? The scars indicate how strong you are and how far you've come in this thing called life.

"And I hope you keep trusting me," I said, adjusting her down and planting a kiss on that beautiful scar.

Tears started forming her eyes, her eyes do tell her story.

"Don't cry, come let's get you cozy." I laughed a bit and started walking towards land, placing her down, letting her wear my dry ruana. I held her hand as we began walking back to the casita.
