You spent almost a whole day cleaning with the Madrigals. Nonetheless, you had a good time. Isabela, who would steal you from Camilo almost every time you two were alone, irritated the poor boy. Your father, who was drinking coffee in the corner with Agustin which had a non - readable face, made you wonder and doubt. Why is he suddenly acting nice? He's a man of mystery and twists, and, reliably, he's a powerful politician in your hometown. You must maintain your caution. Something's not quite right.

You turned to look at Camilo, who was calming his mother as she slipped on a rock; he gently pats her back and hands her a cup of tea. What a potential husband. "Don't get too attached." your father said while approaching you.

"Hm? Why papi?" you looked at him, feeling scared and nervous.

He simply shrugged and returned home, you saw a vehicle from a distance. Something is going to happen, you have a feeling.

"What was that all about?" Mirabel asked while grabbing your arm.

You shake your head, you're at a loss of words as you were wondering what he was planning to do.

"Did he hurt you again?" she worriedly exclaimed and began to scan your body.

"I'm fine Mira, something's just not right." you calmed her down.

You then explained what might or might not happen, you also told her about your engagement to the eldest son of Alfonso, the reason why you ran away. She's the very first person you told the engagement about, instead of getting angry, she comforted you and volunteered to be of help when something does happen.

The day has come to an end, so you've kissed Camilo goodbye and begun walking back home. Everything was normal, but the silence bothered you. Your father is apparently conversing with the town's doctor; why would he discuss things with the doctor when he knows Julieta has the power of healing?

After a quick bath, you shrugged it off and went to bed. You take one last look at the ring before falling asleep.

........

You felt someone straddle you, their weight preventing you from moving, and your mouth was clothed. You took it off with your free hand and yelled, but no one could hear you. The moonlight revealed the face of the person on top of you, your father.

"Papa?" you started breathing rapidly, trying to get out of his grasp.

"Hold still!" he whisper shouted and you felt something sharp poke your arm, making you drowsy, you realized that he might've got this shot from the doctor from a while ago.

"Dolores...I know you can hear me, please help me." you whispered with your hopes up before you completely blacked out.
