"Aye primo, did you ask her yet?" Luisa said while lifting another donkey.

"No, not yet. In fact, I don't know how." I answered and kissed the baby's cheek.

We are all out doing chores today as the dance is tomorrow night.

"You have to make a move, hermano." Dolores said while pointing at Y/n talking with a boy. "they've been together all day." she added

We watched them enter a coffee shop, Mirabel and Isabela started babbling about me making a move. Well, they're right. Think Camilo, think

"How about the flower field at the end of the forest? Y/n loves flowers." a small voice was suddenly heard, we all looked down and saw that Antonio had just arrived.

"Flower...field?" we looked at Isabela with a questioning face.

"It's where I vent out my feelings back when I was supposed to accept Mariano's proposal..But why that field? I haven't been there in months? The flowers probably already died." she explained.

and that's when an idea popped into my head.

(Y/n's)

It was already nighttime and people went back to their homes after a long tiring day of chores.

I was picking a dress earlier and I met the tailor's son, Joaquín.

He's a nice boy really, we became friends instantly! since he's the tailor's son, I asked advice about what dress I should wear, he happily helped me with that as long as I'd help him ask out his crush! The coffee shop owner's daughter, Sofía.

Although it was pretty tiring to push him to talk to her, It all went well.

I placed my bag on the bed and opened it, checking the dress.

...................................

"So, you're into the shape-shifting Madrigal that's why you picked yellow, right?" Joaquín teased me while finishing my dress.

"I'm not! Yellow is just a happy color that's all!" I explained.

"Then explain aside from choosing a sunflower as the embroidered design, why'd you request to add a chameleon one as well?" he laughed and I just smacked him.

.................................

I scoffed as I remembered that, it just happened hours ago so.

If I really am into him, well I'm not ready for that kind of relationship yet. It's like an emotional rollercoaster ride where there are twists and turns. I don't think I'm ready...yet.

"Nah, he won't even like me back what am I saying." I accidentally voiced out why tracing the sunflower on my dress.

"Who won't like you back? The tailor boy?" I heard his voice behind me, I turned around and saw him sitting at my window.

"Why can't you just walk through the front door like a normal person?" I scoffed and turned to him, hiding my dress.

"Nah, the view here is amazing. Plus, I get to scare you." he fully entered my room and I went to fix my things on the cabinet.

"I saw him again today, and I'd stare at him for hours. His smile fuels up the fire in my heart and I can't explain why. Every time he holds me, butterflies take over me. And his voice, his voice makes me want to make love songs in the rain." he reads out loud.

I run up to him and snatched my diary.

"Who's him?" he asked, brows together.

"he's um...a c-character! yes! a character in tío Bruno's mice novelas!" I stuttered, this is so embarrassing.

He poked his cheeks with his tongue and began walking towards me. Cupping my cheek he looked at me, his eyes, it looked like they were holding back.

"Am I too late Mariposa?" he sighed and gave me one last smile before leaving.

"Him is you..."  I whispered, only for me to hear.
