'Wait- huh? WAIT, WHAT THE FUCK?? DID HE JUST- HE JUST CONFESSED?? TO ME?? OF ALL PEOPLE??'

'HOW THE HELL DO I RESPOND?! I MEAN I OBVIOUSLY LIKE HIM BACK BUT..! WHAT ABOUT KANAO?? WHAT IF I MESS UP THE TIMELINE AND CAUSE A BUTTERFLY REACTION?!'

Tanjirou noticed your lack of response after a minute, making his heart clench. Nonetheless, he bowed a full 90 degrees, "I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable! Please forgive m-" You cut him off, "Yes..!"

Tanjirou halted his movements entirely before raising his head, "Wh- Eh?"

Taking a deep breath as you prepared yourself, you pecked him on the cheek for a split second, causing both of your faces to burn a bright red.

You giggled giddily, "Did you not hear me the first time?" Tanjirou stood frozen, astonished, "I-Well- Yes I did! But I thought you- I thought you didn't feel the same way?"

You chuckled, "Really? That's what you think? How could I not? Every time I'm around you, my heart wants to burst of happiness!"

You began to ramble, "I stood there in silence because I was thinking how you could like me back! I mean, out of everyone, me?!"

Tanjirou broke out into a smile, "Really?! I thought you were out of my league! I mean, I come from a poor family, and our soon to be occupation will be chaotic.. but even so, I want to make you happy."

"You really bring joy to my life, between your company, and your laugh, literally anything of yours-"

You slapped your hands over your face, managing to squeak out, "Okay! That's enough! Enough compliments!"

Tanjirou took your hands off your face before placing them in his calloused hands. You each stared at eachother for a short while, before he brought you in for a kiss.

It was a brief yet passionate one, and once he pulled away, you could've sworn you were on fire. You clasped your face in your hands as you backed away.

"Tanjirou, you may have caught me off guard this time, but so help me, next time you'll be the blushing mess! Watch your back and sleep with one eye ope- WAGH!"

Because of your dumbass not paying attention, you backed right off of the roof, plummeting down below. You landed right onto your wrist, making it release a loud crack.

Of course.

You let out a yell, "WAGH! WHAT THE HELL- OW IT HURTS!"

When Urokodaki walked outside to see Tanjirou hovering over you in a panic and your wrist bent at an unnatural angle, he honestly wasn't even surprised you had gotten yourself into this situation.
