Following the battle, you hadn't realized just how worn out you truly were. After tumbling into unconsciousness, Eli and Zenitsu had to haul your body and run.

They most definitely were not going to get caught by the hosts—they would be forced to pay for the damages they'd caused.

Eli shifted the way your body rested upon his back, tightening his grasp around the back of your knees. With a sigh, he continued to walk alongside Zenitsu.

"Ugh, we've been walking for like.. seven hours. How the hell have we not made it back to the estate yet?" Eli complained, rolling his neck and shrugging his shoulders.

His leather loafers crunched over the unpaved dirt path with each step he took. Eli was still in his tuxedo—despite it being torn to shreds in the back and on his sleeves.

"Beats me," Zenitsu replied, taking a crumbled map from out of his pocket. Just like Eli, he was still dressed in his tuxedo as well. "According to this map, we should be near some farmland right now."

The two boys looked around, each of them halting in their tracks.

"Uh? We're in the middle of a forest pathway?" Eli confusedly replied, quirking a brow.

Zenitsu looked back down at his map, slowly flipping it around, before he looked back up at the surrounding area.

"Oh," Zenitsu blinked, his mouth forming an 'o' shape.

A heavy moment of silence soon followed, drowning the boys entirely.

"GAHH!! WE'RE LOST, WE'RE LOOOSSTT!!" Zenitsu suddenly cried out, throwing the map up in the air. He whipped around, pointing an accusing finger at Eli, "THIS IS YOUR STUPID OWL'S FAULT!! HE GOT US LOST!!"

Eli flinched at his sudden accusation, still keeping a tight hold on you as he yelled back defensively, "WHAT? YOU'RE THE ONE WHO LED US THE WRONG WAY, BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO READ A DAMN MAP! AT LEAST MR. OWL'S DOING MORE THAN YOUR USELESS SPARROW!"

Due to their loud arguing, you'd slipped back into consciousness, releasing a low hum none of them picked up on. You kept your eyes closed, hoping to fall back into slumber.

Exhaustion weighed heavy over you—you felt like absolute shit.

"DON'T YOU DARE DRAG CHUNTARO INTO THIS!" Zenitsu rebutted, "WHERE'S (Y/N)-CHAN'S CROW? MAYBE IT CAN HELP US!! RIGHT!?"

Eli paused, looking up as he tried to recall your crow's name, "What the hell is its name again? Isn't it like.. Yappy? Or something?"

He then cleared his throat, drawing in a big breath. "YAPPY!! YAPPY, COME HERE!! WHERE ARE YOU?!" Eli bellowed into the trees.

"THAT'S NOT HER CROW'S NAME, YOU DUMBASS! YOU'RE USELESS!!"

"OKAY, FINE! WHAT IS IT, THEN?! HUH?!"

An awkward moment of silence ensued.

"..I FORGOT, OKAY?! BUT IT'S MOST DEFINITELY NOT YAPPY!" Zenitsu yelled back.

Growing tired of listening to their bickers, you shifted your body on Eli's back, forcing your eyes open. "Ugh— shut up, you idiots! I'm trying to sleep!"

"(Y/N)-chan!! You're awake!!" Zenitsu excitedly crooned, turning to you.

"Finally!" Eli cheered, "Now get the hell off my back, you're weighing me down!!"
