I pulled my knees higher to my chassis, burying my face between my legs. 'Hey... are you okay?' I looked up to face Sunstreaker. He sat down next to me and flashed me a weak smile. 'No, I don't feel fine at all,' I sulked. He leaned against the wall and stared at the wall in front of him. 'You did what you could... more than I ever would've tried.' I snorted and rolled my optics. 'I wish I could turn back time and hug my mother again... or to go back to our home. Gosh I miss that place.'
Sunstreaker smiled weakly at me. 'I wish I had a mother that loved me... you have something good to remember and all I have is pain. I got heavily abused by my parents. My dad isolated me, beat and raped me. Be happy you never had to go through that,' he said quietly. 'Should I feel happy now? Of course I grateful for that, but they took her from me.' Sunstreaker sighed softly and shrugged, 'of course, but what did you get in return?' he asked. I looked at him. 'Ironhide, Chromia, Bluestreak I understood and me...' he joked, nudging my side a little. I flashed him a weak smile. 'No one ever trusted me like you did and I grateful for that.'
'I bet your mother is proud of you, no matter where she is,' he added, more serious this time. 'You will get your revenge,' he finished before he got up and offered me his servo. I took it and he hoisted me up. 'What happned tonight isn't your fault... you tried to warn them and they didn't listen. We need you,' he said. I sighed and nodded, following him. They all looked miserable and shocked. 'Do you finally listen to me?' Prowl turned. 'I am not making this up. Everything I have done is to make sure you don't end up dead. I never intended to break in and steal data, it was to protect people. I have seen what the Decepticons are capable off. They killed my mom and took my dad. They raped me, they beat me up. I am not making up a story and play victim. They want the all-spark. Bluestreak and I have done research and tried to figure out their plan. They haven't actually done it because they know there's someone stealing data. Right now, it's important to get Prime because they want to kill him.'
'How are we going to do that exactly? You are too young for this. You should be playing outside with your friends,' Ratchet said while holding his stomach. I pointed at Grapple. 'He's our way in.' Hoist sighed and looked at Ratchet. 'You know the building. You constructed it and you know every weak spot. If they attacked the hospitals, they may already on their way. We need to do something now before it's too late.'
'Fine, just let me think for a minute.' Prowl pinched the bridge of his nose. 'Most of us are too weak to enter the building. Grapple, Hoist and Ratchet, you stay here and make sure he's okay. I take Mirage and Sunstreaker with me,' he stated. 'You actually trust me?' Sunstreaker snarled. 'Please don't make me reconsider this,' Prowl snarled back. 'I really hope you're right,' Prowl said, jabbing his digit in the center of my chassis. 'Mirage.' I glanced at the medic and slowly walked up to him. 'Thank you for saving my life.'
'You saved mine too. I don't want to lose you.' We embraced. 'Let me have a look at your injuries real quick.'
I took off some of my armor. 'When you get back, we need to fix a few things otherwise it becomes dangerous,' he said before helping Hoist with Grapple. I caught Prowl staring af me. 'You've always been different.' I shrugged and sat down for a moment to relieve myself from some pain. 'My mom always believed in me and I want to make her proud. I miss her every day, if there's one thing I want than it's to get her back and my dad and leave this stupid city forever and go home. I never wanted this but I don't want her to die for nothing. I wanna kill the one who murdered her, but I also want this to stop and the only way to that, is to do what I am doing. When we meet up with Bluestreak, he'll hand me the data I collected over the years. Then you can see for yourself.'Prowl looked away for a moment. Grapple was good enough to explain to us what the weaker parts of the building are, but it's not without risks. 'I designed the building for storage of relics, Energon and weapons. If this goes wrong, you can blow everything up. Murdering tons of bots but also wipe this city off the map.'
Grapple protected a blueprint of the building on the wall. 'There's a tunnel underneath the city leading towards the storage room. You can get weapons there. From there you follow the hallway towards the North wing. Prime will most likely be there.'
'Perhaps it's their goal to blow everything up and take the relics beforehand. They will get everything they can to make sure they're able to win this war.'
'You're right. Especially with the huge amount of Energon located underneath the building,' Prowl muttered. 'We should try to keep them busy,' Sunstreaker said and looked at me. 'Jetfire. That mech you've been talking about is an ex-Decepticon, right?' I nodded, 'yes, we would meet but you arrested me. He's here to help but I don't know where is. My communication systems are down,' I said.'I know him. I'll call him in,' Prowl said and walked off. 'Getting in isn't the problem but getting out might will,' Grapple sighed. 'Why?' I asked. 'You can lock the whole place down from the inside. It's to ensure the safety of the relics. It there's a thief or anyone from the outside trying to break in, you just shut the place down,' he stated. 'The control room is located in the center, but there also emergency systems in the basement. When something happens, the emergency generators will kick in immediately. You should try to blow up the generators and the control room. If you get locked in, it will take a while before you can get out. Especially without a password.'
'You don't ha w the password?'
'No, Prime changed it after I left. For safety reasons. Perhaps the Decepticon already hacked the main frame and made some cha he's, I can't tell. When the building was finished, I moved to the other side of the planet for a new building. I haven't spoken to Prime for a very long time,' he said. 'We will meet Jetfire at the building. He's going to to investigate and come back to us later but he told me the Deceptions are gathering around the building. We need to leave.'
I nodded and followed Prowl. 'I can use my cloaking system,' I said. 'Yeah, but we need to stick together. I am in charge and I know the building better than you do,' Prowl snapped before we all walked outside. 'This way...' Prowl gestured to us to hurry and stopped in an alley. He flipped manhole cover over and we hopped in. It was just very quiet, and I did a quick scan. 'No one is around,' I said. 'How do you know?'
'I created my own software. Means I can turn myself invisible, make X-rays of buildings and scan everything for movements. If there are any moments, my scanners will pick it up. Obviously, my software isn't perfect but it works,' I stated. 'Right...' Prowl passed me and we slowly made our way through the long dark hall. Prowl used his headlights mostly to navigate. 'Wat h your step.'
I jumped over a pipe and turned to look at Sunstreaker.
'Wait!' Everyone stopped. 'I detect movements,' I said. Prowl looked around. 'I don't see anything,' he muttered. 'No, no... there's movement in there. A lot of movement. It's not save,' I said. Sunstreaker looked behind him. 'Are you sure? You said your software isn't perfect—' Prowl raised his hand to silence us. 'Be quiet,' he hissed. The deadly silence was killing me but I could hear something.'Frag...' Prowl looked above him. 'Run.' I got frightened and turned around 'run!' He shouted and pushed me and Sunstreaker in the opposite direction. 'What's going!' I shouted back. 'Keep running! Don't stop,' Prowl shouted back. I looked behind me. 'What's going on! What is chasing us,' Sunstreaker shouted.
'Scraplets!'
