No one came for me. I had no idea how many days had passed already. I was cold, my tummy hurt and tired from crying. My joints were stiff and painful. I hugged my teddybear, trying to stop my shaking frame. I tilted my gaze as the door finally opened. 'Roadwheel, I promise I'll be a good sparkling. I will never ask for food again. Please get me out of here,' I said, looking up. 'The only reason you're here is because you're befriended with Jazz and even seen Optimus Prime himself. While we are working our afts off in a factory, you hang out with all the famous mechs and femmes. You don't deserve that. You're only an opening for us to get a higher status,' he snapped.
'Oh...'
I looked down at my lap. 'I just want to play and some warm Energon,' I said. 'Forget about it. Everyone likes a cute sparkling, you're only useful to us now,' he snapped and turned around. I felt tears welling up. He left me alone again. I curled up, sobbing myself to sleep. I dreamed about my mommy and our old house at the lake.
'Oh, my little Mirage.'
It nearly felt real. 'Mommy.' I hugged her while she picked me up, tightly holding me. 'I love you, don't be mad at me for not helping you,' I cried. She rubbed my helm. 'Of course not,' she whispered. Her eyes were filled with tears as well. 'They hurt you,' she whispered. Tears wiggled down her cheek plating as well. I pressed my forehead against hers. 'They hurt my sweet baby,' she whispered again. 'When do you come home?' I whispered. 'I am not coming home anymore, Mirage,' she said. 'I will always be there in your spark,' she said, tapping on my chest plate.
'Can't I stay here with you?' I asked, looking around. 'No, you can't. Do you remember all the stories I told you about Primus and Unicorn?' She asked. I nodded. 'It's not just a tale, it's real. Primus told me I could talk to you, because my baby needs me,' she said. 'Can't he sent you home?' I asked. She shook her helm. 'I am so proud of you,' she said. 'I a bad sparkling. People dislike me,' I said quietly. 'No, they're jealous because you're the smartest sparkling on whole Cybertron,' she said. I smiled.
'I just wish I could be with you again and protect you from all those horrible people out there.' I nuzzled in her neck. 'But you're here now,' I said. She nodded and kissed my helm. 'Yeah...' she hugged me and rocked me a little. Like she always used to do. 'You're the greatest gift I ever got. When I held you in my arms for the first time, I knew I would always protect you and love you like mother did as well,' she said.
'There was a bad mech, mommy. A large one... Brawl and he hit me. He said I was an ugly sparkling and hurt my valve. It hurt so bad... I was so scared,' I said. Tears oozed from her optics like a waterfall. 'That's biggest nightmare of every mother... to see their child get hurt. I am so mad and wished I could help you... I wish it never happened,' she said while kissing my helm. 'Come here.' She shifted and cradled me. 'Don't be sad mommy... it's not your fault,' I said quietly. 'Shh,' she hushed me. I felt my optics get heavy. She started singing a lullaby for me. 'I love you so horrible much, Mirage.'
I glanced tiredly at her. 'I love you too.' She kissed my helm and continued singing her lullaby. 'Don't leave me again, I don't wanna be hated anymore,' I whispered with closed eyes. 'I am always with you, in your spark,' she said quietly. Her voice seemed to fade and I woke up in the dark. 'Mommy! Mommy!' I shouted,— frantically looking around. 'Where are you! Don't go... don't leave me again.'
I smelled her, but I couldn't see her. 'Mommy! Mommy.'
'Don't be scared...' I heard her voice before her smell faded. 'Don't go, don't leave me again,' I sobbed and sank on my knees again. 'Don't go...'The door opened at Roadwheel marched towards me. I backed off, trying to get away but he grabbed me. I screamed as he dragged me away from my hiding spot. My armor scratched over the floor. My frame was shaking and I was so scared. He started to hit me, over and over again. My entire frame was dented and bleeding again. 'You stop shout right now!' He screamed. I sobbed and curled up underneath the stairs. 'Stupid piece of scrap,' he snapped.
He left me again. He didn't fed me for days. My energon levels were low and made me woozy. He kept hitting me over and over again. I seemed to be his punchbag. I shivered and reached for my bear. Half of my bear. Roadwheel ripped him in half. Mommy gave it to me and I loved the bear. I looked around and spotted a small window in the back. I had seen it before but it was locked. I hoisted myself up, taking my damaged bear with me towards the window. My leg was badly injured and dragging with me.
I looked around and searched for something to open it with. After several attempts, I managed to open it and crawled out of it, quickly leaving. The shady neighborhood was scary. I had no idea where I was or where to go. I eventually crawled in a small space between two hours and curled up, staring at the road. I am all on my own and I have no where to go. At least I got away from the basement.
I barely slept and next morning, I got chased my large mech. They held guns and fired. I ran down the street as fast as I could and made a few turns into an ally. I tried to climb the wall but I kept falling and failing to get away. 'You're trapped little man,' the biggest laughed. I shivered. 'Don't hurt me,' I said, my voice trembling. 'Ahw, is the baby scared.' He pointed his gun at me. 'Please, I am already in so much pain. I haven't done anything wrong,' I whispered.
The mechs turned around by the sound of sirens. I crawled away in the corner, scared. A slender figure moved into my direction. I had never seen anything like him before. He halted. I curled up even more. 'Don't hurt me... please.' The figure stared at me. 'Sparkling...' his voice sounded so weird. He wasn't big either. I was taller than this slender figure. He glanced at me with curiosity before touching my helm. 'Sparkling,' he said again and grabbed me in a hugging matter, resting his small head on top of my helm.
'Frenzy!' The voice roared. A tall mech appeared and stopped. 'Sparkling.' Frenzy said,— pointing at me. 'You got to be kidding me,' he scowled. The mech grabbed me and hoisted me up. He's a Decepticon. 'Kill it?' My optics widened at the mechs statement. 'Please, please... don't hurt me.' Frenzy glanced at me again. 'Sparkling,' he repeated again. Barricade rolled his eyes before looking at me again. 'What an ugly brat,' he spat disgusted. 'Honestly why are Autobots so good at producing ugly and dumb sparklings?'
'Leave it on the streets. He's so fragile, he'll die out here for sure,' the mech said before walking off with his little friend.
