Quirk Marriage Law (Shoto x Reader)

The Chaos Continues

    The ringing of my phone was what woke me in the early hours of the morning. The clock on my new supposed night stand read that is was just barely 6am. Without bothering to check the caller I.D. I answered the phone to find out why this call was so important to be made at an early hour.

    "Downtown, the heroes are losing, backup requested immediately, location sent by text, please respond immediately to the situation."

    This was wall it took for me to spring out of bed and rush to change into my hero suit. It seemed to take longer than normal, but maybe it was because I had been in such a rush. I had never received a message like that in my time as a pro hero and after the events as of late, I am not taking any chances of the Commission having something over me. As I rushed out of the door to my room, I noticed the same was happening across from me. I didn't even have to ask why he was in his hero suit, just assuming he got the same information as me. 

    Not bothering to wait for my new roommate I made a dash for the front door. Now because of my pathetic nights sleep my quirk wasn't charged to its fullest but I can make due with what i had. Once I was out the door I activated my quirk and pushed the majority of my energy into my legs to allow me to move at a faster speed than I normally could. It had only taken about five minutes before I began approaching the street where I was called. The first thing that could be seen was the fire burning brightly on cars and the scorch marks on the walls. 

    At first my mind had chosen not to process the colors of the flames but as I began to near towards the fight in the center of the destruction the memories hit once again like a tidal wave. It seemed Sero and Kirishima were the only ones here as they both must have been on the late night/ early morning patrol shift. Kirishima seemed to be holding his own, but Sero seemed lost on what he could do. His tape wasn't fire resistant so he couldn't attempt to capture the well known villain so instead he was trying to preserve the buildings that hadn't crumbled around them.

      I snapped out of my train of thought hearing a loud crash and just as I had looked over it seemed Kirishima had been tossed over and into a car parked on the side. Even with his quirk it would take him a moment to recover from the shock and possible pain involved. After removing his opponent away from him the villain turned and locked his almost glowing ice blue eyes with your eyes. His mouth slowly spread into a sinister smirk once he had realized who was standing in front of him. The two heroes seemed to have been unaware of their new backup who had been observing the fight for a few moments.

     "Ah so the little hero is still playing dress up... how pitiful. Have you missed me?" The man known as Dabi smirked as he looked the new arrival up and down.

     Sero and Kirishima whipped their heads to see what had caught their opponents attention when they realized it had been you. Kirishima's eyes widened as he realized this could easily turn very bad if you let the memories get to you. He never knew the full details but when you had been carried out of that building and how you looked in the hospital it was clear these league pricks had something to do with it.

     "No (L/N) clear the area make sure more heroes are coming you don't have to engage!" Kirishima seemed to practically be begging you to wait for backup and think things through. And so you did for a moment, but that moment was gone as quick as it appeared once blue flames were hurled towards you.  Rolling out of there path, just to see another stream of flames headed your way. Activating your quirk allowed you to absorb some of the energy from the attack, but not all. Moments before you believed the now duller flames would make impact and ice wall shot up in front of you blocking your line of vision. You whipped your head around to notice Todoroki had caught up and made his way over towards Kirishima and helped him up while Dabi held his focus on you.

      "Ah look who it is!" Dabi proclaimed in such a manor you could feel the hatred leaking off his words without even having to see his face. "Little Shoto Todoroki all grown up and here to fight his dear older brother. But I can't have you ruining the fun I was just about to have." The villains amused tone made you tense and breathing pick up. Out of your time in that place you realised how cruel someone with hatred could really be, and this villain specifically held enough hatred and cruelty for eternity. 

      "You won't touch her, so I suggest you leave." Todoroki's monotone voice came out harsh addressing the man who was once his brother.

     "None of us will back down, you and your little friends may have had us out numbered earlier, but where are they now? As more heroes arrive your chances of success diminish. I suggest you surrender now." Kirishima finished. But it seemed his little speech went in one ear and out the other of the villain who stood before them.

     "Ah yes it seems I am all alone, however you failed to consider they waited for the right moment." The moment he said that some windows shattered in a nearby building behind us, but before I could evaluate which one a large figure crashed into my back pushing me to the ground. The weight was so heavy I couldn't move the only thing I could thing of was to attempt to drain the creatures energy. As if it knew I would attempt such a thing it crushed the hand slowly reaching to touch a portion of it. While keeping a firm grasp on the other arm the creature lifted its catch in the air for its master to see.

     The sudden scream from their fellow hero and old classmate threw the three young heros off as the whipped their heads to asses the new situation. Kirishima's eyes began to burn with tears of frustration as he watched his friend get dragged closer and closer to the enemy by the second. He could hear explosions far off and knew Bakugo was on his way to lend back up, but he knew they needed to make a move sooner rather than later. Their friend was injured and he couldn't allow her to be placed in the situation she was in only a short time ago. Flesh wounds heal slowly sometimes, but mental scars can take even longer.

     Before he could even think of a plan ice shot forward towards the beast as he heard an angry voice from next to him. "I will not let you take her. Leave her be."

       "Ahhhh so it seems you can show emotion and aren't just a robot made to follow dear old dad's dream!" Dabi exclaimed. "But why do you care so much for this girl? Don't tell me you want to have some of my sloppy 2nds? I know she's entertaining but I called her first so she's mine, try to save her if you wish. Try your little heroics, but I broke her a long time ago." He finished with a smirk.

      "Why you little..." Todoroki fumed at the insult directed at his friend as if she were just some toy to fight over and not a person. He began to make steps forward when he froze in his spot after hearing the girl speak.

    "Stop it. Leave them be" The girl whispered out as the everyone's eyes turned to her. "Your issue and fight is with me, don't bring them into it" She claimed with a stronger voice than before. She looked at the man who tormented her for months and knew that the risk she was about to take was worth it if she could take him down.

     "Hide behind something" The girl whispered so her earpiece could pick it up so the other heroes knew she had a plan. They began to notice a slight glow to the girl and subtly scouted out sturdy spots to hid behind when her body began to glow. They knew that was the sign and made a break for the spots they had been looking at. The villain's eyes widened at the sight of the glowing girl before him before hearing her words before the inevitable attack.

     "You should've killed me when you had the chance, because now I'll make sure you go down if it's the last thing I do." The girl muttered while holding eye contact with the villain, when suddenly there was a blinding light...
