All Eddie could think about was Richie

All Eddie could think about was Richie. He hated this. Hated this so fucking much. He just wanted it to be over. He couldn't sleep because of it. Him.

All the butterflies fluttered in his stomach as he thought about him. The kiss. Eddie couldn't help himself; he couldn't help but think about it. This feeling was so new to him. He's always had this hatred for Richie, and the fact that he was the only thing on his mind baffled him.

"Okay," he sat up in bed, knees pulled up to his chest. "It was just a small kiss. I-I wouldn't even consider it a kiss." He tried to calm himself down, but yet, his heart still raced like crazy and the butterflies only fluttered faster and faster in his stomach.

He sighed and flopped back down onto his comfortable mattress.

It wasn't even a kiss, get a grip, Kaspbrak! He told himself, turning over on his side and facing his wall. He shut his eyes tight, desperate to forget, but it was no use.

You can't make this awkward, Eddie tells himself, almost scolding. Richie and Eddie have a few classes together and it would be super awkward if they ended up making prolonged eye contact or even so much as bringing up this incident may cause something between them.

They didn't even interact that much anyways, like was was mentioned before, Eddie and Richie only ever talked about school work. That's it. And the only reason they even know each other is because Beverly invited him into their group only last year. Eddie thought she had a crush on him, but that suspicion was proven wrong as she began dating Angela Martin a week later.

They didn't last long. Most of Beverly's relationships are just flings anyways...much like Richie's.

7:45 am

Eddie grabs a few books from his locker, before jumping back as it was quickly slammed shut right in front of him. He turned to see who had done it only to see Richie standing it front of him now.

"Hey there, Eds." Eddie rolled his eyes and held his books in his hands. "What do you want?" Asked Eddie, who wasn't amused by Richie's actions.

Richie frowned. "Someone doesn't look happy." He said. "Sleep well?" This made Eddie hesitate before answering, as that question had a lot of meaning behind it.

Eddie shook his head, "Can I help you?" He asked. Richie smirked, ushering Eddie to walk with him. "Actually, now that you mention it..."

Eddie rolled his eyes, immediately regretting asking that question.

"I need a date for this party tonight." He said bluntly. Eddie's eyes widened and he could feel his face draining of all its color.

"Eh-Excuse me?" Eddie shoves Richie off of him. "Uhm, did I stutter—"

"N-No! I-I heard you, dumbass." Eddie cut him off. "I-I-I just don't understand why you want me? C-Can't you just ask Beverly, or...you know? Someone who actually likes you?" Richie places his hand on his chest where his heart was and winced in pain. Dramatically.

"Oh, Edward, yet another one of your mean jabs at my poor, achy heart, never ceases to hurt me." He sighed.

Eddie scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Answer my question—"

"You sure didn't seem like you hated me last night, sweetheart." Richie stepped closer to Eddie, placing his arm up and backing him into a locker.

Eddie gasped, "Rich—"

"Why'd you kiss me if you don't like me?" He asked.

Eddie places his arms up and rested them on Richie's chest. "I-You answer my question and I'll answer yours." He whispered.

Richie chuckled, backing up and allowing Eddie to gather himself.

"Well, I don't really see Bev as more than a friend and I'd much rather go with someone who despises me." Eddie gives him a look, forcing Richie to continue. "You know, because the tension makes it seem more real?" He says.

Eddie scoffed, and Richie stepped closer again, "Now, your turn—"

Suddenly, the bell rings and Eddie jumps up in delight. "Oh, would you look at that! See you later, Richard." Spinning around swiftly.

Eddie scurries off towards his first period, but before he could make it away from Richie, he hears him shout at him, "Give me an answer soon, sweetie!"

The entire time Eddie's mind was racing. He could barely pay attention to his entire first period lecture because the only thing that rang through his head were Richie's words.

But, even though his words rang, the scene replayed in his mind over and over again. The way Richie practically pinned him against the lockers...so...heart throbbingly mesmerizing.

Such a warm feeling came from thinking about it. Eddie bit his lip and tapped his finger against his desk, zoning off and daydreaming about Richie doing it again, only this time, more action was involved.

He imagined Richie ripping his clothes off and kissing all over him.

Claiming him.

He bit his lip hard, trying to contain the moans that oh, so desperately wanted to escape his lips. He rest his chin in the palm of his hand, staring off into space as the non existent memory burned in his mind.

"Richie! Richie! Richie!" The name echoed in his mind in a rather enthusiastic way, as if he were moaning it in his head. It was like music to his ears. God, how he desperately wanted to feel Richie's touch all over him. He wanted him so badly, but something deep down also despised Richie with everything he had in him.

Momentarily confused and a bit aroused, Eddie suddenly broke out of his gaze, feeling eyes on him. He blinked a couple of times, realizing that only a few moments had gone by. Five minutes to be exact.

He looked around and his ears opened up, hearing that the teacher was still talking and the class was still in their zombie-like-state. Drained and tired.

Eddie glances down at his notebook, beginning to doodle on a random page, trying desperately to think about something else. Anything else. Anything would be better than thinking about Richie again.

This is stupid, Eddie thought, Just stop thinking about Richie. It was just one fucking kiss, Eddie.

Nothing more.
