"You know," Richie began. "I can't remember the last time you and I hung out without bickering like an old married couple."

The two lay on Richie's living room couch watching the movie Hereditary - One of Richie's favorite movies.

Eddie smiled down at Richie, whose head lies on Eddie's lap. The boys' fingers were intertwined with one another's. Eddie could feel Richie's cold rings pressing up against his own fingers and palm.

"Hmm, it's probably due to the fact that you're actually being a sweetheart right now." Eddie used his other hand to scratch Richie's chin flirtatiously.

"Mm, holy shit." He said, flipping himself over on his stomach, still holding on to Eddie's hand. He pressed a few soft kisses to his knuckles before lifting himself up, face to face with Eddie.

"Can I kiss you?" He breathed.

Eddie grinned, not even having to think twice about his answer. "Yes, please." He let go of Richie's hand and grabbed his face, pulling him in and pressing his lips on to Richie's.

"Mmm." Richie lets out a soft breath before lifting his hands up to cup the back of Eddie's neck.

It was innocent at first. A few soft pecks, their mouths not moving much at all but the vanilla-make out session came to a close as Richie decided to be ballsy and slide his tongue in Eddie's mouth. They would have continued further had not Eddie gasped at the sight of the little kid in the movie they were watching just moments before, get their head chopped clean off.

He covered his mouth as Richie turned around, practically grinning from ear to ear.

"What? Have you never seen this?" He asked, stroking Eddie's forearm.

He shook his head. "What the fuck— this is your favorite movie?" He questioned, genuinely concerned with his lover's choice in movies.

Richie shrugged. "Meh. Honestly, I think the Babadook's better."

"Ugh. I hated that movie." Eddie scoffed.

Richie gasped."What?!"

"Sorry, but you should know that I am not a fan of horror." Eddie says. "I'm more of a romance kind of guy."

Richie smirks. "Oh? And what kind of romance would you be into?"

Eddie blushed softly, redirecting his gaze away from Richie's.

"Just...romance." Eddie smiled.

"Hmmm, I kind of like romances too." Richie's voice was growing more and more husk with every word, which drove Eddie wild.
