12:45 am

Richie stood up straight, his back against a brick wall and going through a pack of cigarettes like Twizzlers. He's already smoked three since he's left Eddie's and plenty more before that.

He let out a soft sigh, allowing the cigarettes smoke to exit his nose and the small holes he's made on the corners of his mouth.

Being alone allowed Richie to think. Shocker, who know Richie Tozier ever used his brain for anything?

It's crazy, but even people like Richie think. They think about a lot of stuff. Stuff the average person probably doesn't have to think about.

Richie tossed the cigarette aside and emerged from the alley, looking around to make sure none of the average pigs were lurking and proceeded onward. He knew how late it was, and he didn't care. If someone were to question him, he would say what he always did; "Dad kicked me out, but I'm staying at a motel." Half true-half not, but either way, it was something. His dad didn't necessarily kick him out this time, but he knew that if he stayed there any longer he would've done it eventually.

He looked both ways before crossing the somewhat deserted streets, making his way over to the very deserted park. Which is where he resided for the next thirty minutes. He lay sprawled out, feet hanging off the end of the bench and his arms behind his head, trying the best he could to relax.

I'm such a baby. He thought. Eddie probably hates me right now.

"I can't believe you just walked out. Fucking idiot." He says this out loud, scolding himself in the third person. "So stupid." He sighed.

More minutes passed and the town grew quieter and quieter. He felt somewhat at peace as he lay there, looking up at the stars. He shut his eyes for a second, though not trying to fall asleep. Then he'd really be in trouble with the cops.

"Richie!" His eyes open swiftly, and his immediate reaction was to sit up in his spot.

Did someone say my name?

He got up and looked around, fearing that it may be someone he had issues with.

"Richie!" Finally, he knew where it was coming from. He turned his head to the right and noticed...

"Eddie?" He mumbled. He didn't know whether or not he should save Eddie the trouble and approach him, but he did.

The sound of Eddie's feet smacking against the pavement caused the raven haired boy to grow more and more nervous. Why is he even out so late? This was only on of the things Richie asked himself, but there were so many more. Which, he knew that he would have to talk to Eddie to know the answers to.

The boys met in the middle, Eddie stopping for a second to catch his breath. "Fuck." He breathed heavily.

"Jesus, Eds. Did you—Were you running?" Richie asked.
