" No way ! N-No fucking way !" Eddie crosses his arms and turned away from the others. " Oh, come on, Eds," Richie persisted.
" It's the rules. You have to kiss me !"

3:15 pm ; exactly three hours before the party
It took Eddie and Richie about fifteen, or so, minutes to make it to the clubhouse. The entire time, Eddie was trying not to have a heart attack. It was beating so fast and hard, he was surprised Richie couldn't hear it. He was also trying to suppress his shaking to a minimum, but that proved to be a complete backfire as well. He absolutely hated this. He just wanted to get this night over with so he could...
Well, he couldn't really go home, could he? He's supposedly at Stan's, and if he goes home early than his mom will know something is up. He brushed that thought aside, telling himself he'd go back to it later.
All that was on his mind was the party and how he would make it through the night being Richie's date.
"You okay, Eds?" Eddie snapped his head over to face Richie. He bent down to pick up the hatch to open the clubhouse door, and with that Eddie tried desperately to think of a response.
"Oh, uh...ye-yeah." He stammered. "I-I'm okay." He lied.
Richie smirked, opening the hatch and allowing Eddie to climb in first, "Ladies first." He joked, to which the smaller boy shoved him before making his way inside. Richie climbed in shortly after him and that's when they both noticed that no one else was here yet. This made Eddie's heart beating intensify, as he was desperately hoping at least one of the other losers would be here.
As Richie shut the hatch behind him, he chuckled and said, "Well, looks like it's just the two of us." He wrapped his arm around Eddie, but he immediately shoved him off and scoffed.
"Sh-Shut up." Was all he could muster up, but flopping down in his usual spot in the hammock. Richie grinned smugly before flopping down right beside him.
Eddie shoved him over, "Ugh, out of all the seats in this clubhouse and you chose the one right next to me." He hissed.
Richie smiles, "I like pissing you off." Was all he said.
"I can fucking tell." Eddie shot back, giving up and folding his arms across his chest. Richie wrapped his arm around Eddie and giggled.
"Oh, come on, you know you love me." This statement caused Eddie to shut up, as he didn't have a response for that. Richie noticed Eddie's sudden choice to stay quiet. This intrigued him.
"What's the matter?" He asked. Eddie shook his head and scoffed, but he could feel his face beginning to blush. He tried to turn away, but Richie wouldn't allow this.
"Oh, come on. Tell me." He whined, grabbing ahold of Eddie's chin and turning his head slightly back to face him. Eddie tried not to look at him, but he couldn't help it. His eyes looked into Richie's innocently, before quickly glancing down at his legs.
Richie's grin grew. "You...You suck." Eddie muttered, pushing his hand away.
Richie opened his mouth to speak, but suddenly the hatch door to the clubhouse opened, causing both of their heads to snap over to the entrance.
