" No way ! N-No fucking way !" Eddie crosses his arms and turned away from the others. " Oh, come on, Eds," Richie persisted.
" It's the rules. You have to kiss me !"

Richie waits rather impatiently outside of Eddie's house, kicking a few rocks from his driveway into the street. He was really hoping that Eddie would be able to stay over tonight.
What's taking him so long? He thought.
Did he change his mind?
Is he packing?
Is his mom freaking out- No, I'd probably hear it happening.
Richie's brain was scattered with thoughts but the main one that crossed his mind was how much he wanted to show Eddie that dating him would be a good idea. He didn't want them to end up like any other relationship he's had in the past; Jared, Gabby...Marty. He didn't act like it, but he knew the reason he couldn't keep someone in his life was due to the fact that he always ended up checking out mentally. He'd get agitated, and upset easily. So much so that he almost lost Marty as a friend. The guilt resonated with him, and it didn't really sink in until after he ended things with some girl last year.
He wanted things to be different now. He needed it. Richie wanted things to last longer with Eddie. He really, really likes him. He's liked him for...forever; ever since he can remember, and whatever they have has to work.
For Richie's sake.
"Hey, Richie." He spun around to see Eddie shutting his front door. He had a backpack in his hand, and he stuffed his last piece of clothing into the pocket. He zipped it and threw it on his back as he approached Richie.
"She said yes?" Richie asked, as if he didn't already know the answer.
Eddie rolled his eyes, "Nope. She said no. I just thought I'd come out here and give you a bag of my things to remind you of me."
Richie smiled at his soon-to-be-boyfriend "Aww, you're so kind, Eds." He wrapped his arm around Eddie. "You always know just what to say, y'know?"
"Yeah, well..." Eddie stands on his tip-toes and presses a soft kiss to Richie's cheek. "I've learned from the best."
