Eddie placed his elbow on the table and let his chin rest in the palm of his hand. He stared ahead, almost mesmerized by the tall, raven-haired boy chatting his ears off across from him.

But, these sudden feelings - while quite pleasant - confused Eddie. He couldn't decide whether he wanted Richie to leave him alone, or whether he wanted him to kiss him some more. Just two hours ago, he wanted to strangle him, but ever since their 'moment' he can't get him off his mind. In a good way, though.

Just looking at Richie made Eddie happy all of the sudden. He made him feel as though that he could be himself.

For a few moments, there was nothing but silence. Not awkward silence, though, for they just couldn't help but stare at each other for a second or two.

"What?" Eddie asked, as if he was not the one just staring at Richie.

But, Richie just shrugged. "Nothing." His arms lay flat on top of each other on the table, crossed. "It's just, do you hate me or not?"

Eddie chuckled and looked down at his thumbs.

"I'm serious-"

"Since when are you ever serious?" Eddie asked.

This made Richie smile, but it didn't sway his determined, stubborn attitude. "Well, one minute, you hate me and the next we're making out in the woods."

Eddie scoffed at this, but he still couldn't shake his soft smile.

"I actually can't read you anymore." Richie wasn't angry; in fact, he was ecstatic that Eddie kissed him, because now he knew this wasn't one-sided anymore. Though, he wasn't one-hundred percent sure, he was at least ninety-percent.

Before they knew it, they finished their food and were both headed back to Eddie's place. The whole way there, Richie was getting mixed signals from Eddie. He tried holding his hand but he was rejected pretty quickly. No fear, however, as they were in public. People aren't exactly very accepting in Derry.

They arrived back to Eddie's. Still no car in the driveway. This made Richie's heart light up, as now he had a chance. They had a chance to finally get somewhere. Because, Richie knew that if Eddie's mother was home, then he would have never been allowed inside.

"Uhm, so...that was fun." Eddie turned to face him.

Richie shoved his hands in his pockets. "Yeah, it-it was." He smiled. "We should do it again sometime."

"We should...blow up another clubhouse?" Eddie was playing dumb. He knew exactly what Richie meant.

Richie took a step closer to Eddie and shook his head. "I think you know what I mean."

The smaller boy bit the inside of his lip and looked up at Richie. He couldn't help but nod.

"Well, to be fair, it's not everyday you do something illegal." He says.
