"So, you have an 18 hours operation?" I sat on my seat in the dining room, in front of my parents.
"Yeah, I do." My father answered, nodding his head before taking a sip of his coffee. He put the cup down, dabbing the back of his hand on his lips after. "And your mother will- well not technically assist me in the operation, but she will be there too to help me." He added.
A hum left my lips while I slowly nod my head. "That sounds tiring yet thrilling at the same time, good luck." I told him, smiling.
"Yup, thanks darling." He said and stood up from his seat. "I'll start getting ready." He glanced at my mother and me before leaving.
"It's an 18 hours operation but we'll still have to stay behind for quite a long time, in fact this patient is a very important person so we really have to pay more attention to it." I nod my head at my mother's explanation. She reached out for my hand on top of the table, giving it a gentle squeeze.
"I'll leave some money for you, go shopping with Nana or Takeomi, and keep yourself warm always." She said. I smiled and nod my head, after that she stood up as well to go upstairs.

It has finally started snowing a few days ago. The city haven't been covered in snow just yet, but it does feel cold, too cold. That's why I made sure I wore the thickest jacket I have before leaving our house.
Right now I'm on my way to Shinichiro's shop, with a lot of paper bags and shopping bags in my hands. My mother did told me to go shopping so, yeah I did. A breathless smile appeared on my lips as Shinichiro's shop came to my view, making me fasten my pace even more. I'm just a few more steps close when I saw the man himself, coming out of the shop while putting his coat in a hurry.
"Hey!" I greeted him the moment I reached him. He stopped from pulling the doors close and looked at my direction, surprised and then a smile appearing on his lips.
"Oh hey gorgeous." He said, his eyes roaming at the things on my hands.
"Oh! Oh!" I put the rest of the shopping bags in my hands on the ground and then showed him the item that I bought that's the most special one.
"Look! It's a strawberry crepe cake!" I showed him the cute box with a pink ribbon. "Let's eat it together." I beamed.
"Uhm... (Y/N), I have somewhere to go..." He hesitated, moving his hands in the air. While he did that, I noticed how his left hand isn't empty. There is a sloppily folded paper in it.
