Part8: Alone with my thoughts. ( davids pov.)

The boys and I made our way to the elevator shaft I kept thinking about who sired us. I swear it was max, it had to have been. One after the other the boys took their boots off and jumped up and hung upside down and went to sleep.
     As I drifted in and out of sleep my thoughts went wild. I could feel myself drift into the madness. One thought after the other and before I knew it, it was night. The boys had went to get food. Still processing the events of the night before. Who was our sire? Why did max lie to us? After all these years of not knowing the whole truth, I think I finally snapped.
     I was deep in thought when I heard Marko yell my name. "What? Sorry" I replied. "What you thinking about?" Paul said as he stuffed his mouth full of pizza. "I'm trying to figure out who our sire is, and why max lied." I could tell Dwayne was trying to scan all the books we had on max and any of his friends. " I think I got it!" Paul shrieked " max had a brother, I remember him telling me about him long ago. When they turned the both made bottles and filled it with their blood. What if they got switched? At some point... because after Marko was turned max had to take the bottle and refill it." I have to give it to Paul he isn't the smartest but he had a good theory. I didn't even have a theory, I'm suppose to be the leader the strong one, the one who they all look up to . But right now I feel useless.
I told the other boys they could go to the boardwalk, I had no interest in going that night. I was filled with all sorts of emotions. I knew all the deep thinking I've been doing wasn't good but it had to be done. Just after the boys left I decided to go out and feed till I couldn't anymore.
   I came across two people sitting by a bonfire further down the beach away from the boardwalk. With one quick swoop I had grabbed one and sucked the life out of her. The other person was drunk so they didn't even notice what had just happened. I quickly landed and threw the body in the fire, still oblivious to their friend missing I quietly snuck up and bite down. The person didn't even let out a scream. And just like that into the fire the body went. I had walked over to the water to clean myself up. Just as quick as it started I had left and went back to the cave. I could see Rins house and I could see a candle light moving in one of the windows . The boys weren't back yet so I decided to go to Rins. Maybe get more information about Star or something.
