Chapter 10

Elsa's POV

The next day at school, I get to my locker & see Jack is there. I yell at him & tell him to go away but then he tells me his locker is right next to mine. I'm a little embarrassed now so I just keep my head down & grab my stuff. At lunch, Rap invites me to sit with the Big Four. The problem is, Miranda & Shay weren't invited. So I decide to sit with the people who have been kind to me this whole time & go with sitting next to M & Shay. During lunch, Jack keeps looking over at me & I just glare back. The rest of the day, he doesn't talk to me. Today Anna was going to hang out with Kristoff so I was alone driving home. When I got home, my phone was blowing up.

Rap: party @ Jack's house 2night🙌 wanna b my guest?

Merida: party @ Jack's u should come

Miranda: wanna hang 2night?

Shay: party @ Miranda's WOO HOO Els you coming?

I rested my head in my hands. I didn't know what to do. Then my phone started ringing.
"Hello?" I questioned.
"Hey Elsa, it's Punzie. Did you get my text?"
"Yeah & I also got one from Miranda & Shay saying they wanted me to come over," I sighed.
"Well someone's popular!" Rap laughs. I giggle.
"I guess so. But I don't know what to do." I sigh again.
"Bring them all," Rap says, like that was the easiest thing of all.
"But won't that be too many people?" I asked.
"Elsa, everyone will be there. Jack will hardly even notice," Punzie says. I nod.
"Alright, do you need a ride?" I ask.
"Nah, Merida & Hiccup are taking me. I'll be such a third wheel but I'm meeting Eugene there so who cares?" Rap laughs & I hang up. Then I text my girls.

Me: hey Miranda, Shay, what about coming to a party 2night @ Jack Frost's house?

Shay: I thought you hated him

Me: my cousin will b there & Merida will too. She's cool. Plus we'll all get 2 meet new ppl

Miranda: I guess that sounds fun. I need to ask mah mom

Shay: yah me 2

Me: me 3 ttyl

I set down my phone & head downstairs. In the kitchen is my mom preparing dinner & Carissa is in her high chair, babbling on about Dora or something. I ruffle her hair & she bites me. Ouch. Little brat. I'm just about to talk to Mom when Eric walks in.
"Hey Mom, can I go to a party tonight?" I ask.
"Where is it?" Mom asks.
"Jack Frost's house," I reply.
"Will his parents be there?"
"I'm not sure Mom. Just please let me go. My friends are going & I'll get to meet new people," I plead.
"But wasn't Jack mean to you?" Mom raises a brow.
"I'm not going to see him. I'm going for free food & friends," I laugh, trying to lighten the situation. Mom shrugs.
"I don't know."
"Come on Honey, it sounds like a good experience for Elsa," Eric says. I turn to him & mouth "thank you!" He winks at me.
"Okay fine, if Eric says yes, go ahead. Just be back by midnight," Mom yells. I kiss her & Eric on the cheek & run out with a last thank you. I have two new texts.

Miranda: I'm good 2 go🙌

Shay: me 2

Me: me 3 I'll pick y'all up in 10 minutes but first I need your addresses😬

I then text Rap.

Me: what is Jack's address?

Rap: Pine Lane house at the bottom of the coldesack.

Me: thx

I then realize Jack lives in the next neighborhood over. Hmm. That's why I always see him run over here. I throw on a baby blue miniskirt & white blouse & 2-inch blue heels & rush out the door. I pick up Miranda first, then Shay, & both look gorgeous in dresses & skirts. Then we arrive at Jack's. You can hear the music from about 10 miles away, it is so loud. Shay covers her ears but reluctantly walked inside with me. I spotted Punzie & introduced her to my girls. Then we grab waters & sit back out by the pool. Rap soon splits off with Eugene. M, Shay & I chat & watch as people get a little more tipsy. Then this guy comes out on the patio. He's gorgeous. His perfectly toned abs show through his tight shirt. He spotted me & came over.
"Hey Cutie, I'm Jamie," he winked.
"I'm Elsa," I giggled. He took my hand and stood me up.
"Wanna, take a walk?" He asks. I nod & Jamie takes me away. We talk & walk into the night & soon people are clearing out of the party. I am sitting there with Jamie when Jack walks over.
"Jamie? I told you not to come!" He yells. I stand up.
"Jack people can come if they want," I yell.
"You don't understand Elsa. Sit down," Jack rolls his eyes.
"What the hell Jack? Would you quit treating me like I'm trash!" I shout, so frustrated. Jack laughs at me.
"Jack go play with your little girls, Elsa is mine," Jamie states, then places his hand around me on my opposite butt cheek. Then he squeezes. I squirm at the awkward feeling.
"Woah there, I don't belong to anyone!" I cry, then start to walk away.
"Elsa, WAIT!" Jamie yells. Tears running down my face now, I find M & Shay & drag them out to the car. I wanna go home. The girls are quiet on the ride home. We pull up to my house. I wipe my eyes.
"You guys wanna sleep over?" I ask.
"Hell yeah!" Shay yells, pumping her fist in the air. I smile & pull my friends inside where Eric is still up watching a baseball game.
"Eric, can my friends sleep over?" I ask. Eric nods without even looking at me. Then I pull my friends up to my room where they grab some PJ's & we sit in my bay window.
"Elsa? What happened at the party that made you so upset?" Shay is the first to ask.
"Jack," I state, looking down at my slippers.
"Elsa, you come back crying every time you talk to him. What is up with you two?" Miranda grabs my hand.
"I don't know, just the way I was having a perfect night with Jamie but then he walks in & ruins everything." I roll my eyes. Miranda nods.
"I just don't know if I can trust that kid," Shay shakes her head. My phone buzzes.

Rap: uh Els? You know Jamie is Jack's older brother right?

Me: so you mean...Jack didn't want Jamie @ the party cuz he was family?

Rap: ya pretty much

Me: oh good God

Rap: I have Jamie's # if you want it

Me: plz!👏

I then text Jamie.

Me: sry about the party. I ruined everything😕 -Elsa

Jamie: nah, my night was perfect up until Jack walked in. Plus I shouldn've called you "mine" you belong to no one😉 but I wish I could call you mine

Me: idk yet but thx my night was gr8 2

I sighed & my head hit the pillow.
"Everything will be okay Elsa," Shay encourages. I open my eyes.
"I hope so."
