Jack's POV
I showed up to the dance early & Hans was there, setting everything up. He smiled when I walked in.
"Glad you showed up early man, I gotta go pick up my girl." I nod & go up to the stage where the DJ booth is set up. Even though I don't DJ much, I know how it works. I check out the music list & spot cool mixes of different songs. I'm pretty excited. I put on my headphones & play some sick beats while people around me continue to set up the dance. When everything is good, the staff comes out to examine their work. Then they check their watches. The dance will start any minute. The staff rushes out & just as they're gone, couples file in. I begin the jams. After a while, I am lost in the music & attitude of the dance. Suddenly one girl screams. I look up to see it is Hillary, the slut of the school. She points to the stairs & huffs. I turned my head to the stairs & everyone gasps. Jamie & Elsa are coming down the stairs. Heads turn to them & oohh & aahh as Elsa pulls down her mask. She looks terrific. I roll my eyes at myself & pump the music up again, yet no one dances. I'm frustrated. Jamie & Elsa aren't a big deal. Plus I don't even get along with Elsa, so why should I worry what she thinks of me. Whatever I don't even care. People part like the sea to let the "dream couple" through. I sigh. Then all of a sudden, Elsa diverts her attention to me. I quickly look up, then back down again. What does she want? She pokes Jamie & he looks at me & frowns, turns back to Elsa & whispers something in her ear. She frowns. What the h-e-double toothpicks is going on? I roll my eyes once again & focus on the music. By the end of the dance, everyone has danced & sung & had fun. Elsa & Jamie were the stars of the night mostly though. When the night is over, everyone leaves & I grab Hans. He cleans everything up while his poor date has to wait in the car. I chuckle at his stupidity & leave to get to my house. When I reach it, everyone is strewn around the house & the yard. I'm kind of upset because I didn't know Jamie invited so many people. They were for sure going to ruin the house & I was for sure to get blamed. I roll my eyes & go to my room. I open my door. On my bed is a couple making out. Gross. I definitely don't want to interfere so I go to Jamie's room & grab a change of clothes. Then I head outside on the porch for a smoke.
