Elsa's POV
Jack excused himself to go to the bathroom &
I smiled as we said our byes. Then I sat & waited for the game to start up again. All the men gathered in left field for warm ups. Then suddenly the announcer says:
"ELSA ARENDELLE PLEASE STAND UP!" I'm confused so I stand up, but my hands are shaking.
"PLEASE MAKE YOUR WAY TO PITCHERS MOUND!" The announcer says. I bite my lip & people look at me. Should I go? I have no idea what to do.
"Get out there," a man yells. I look back & see him miming to push me out to the field. I nod & head to pitchers mound. Everyone is staring.
"THANK YOU FOR COMING OUT TODAY ELSA."
"YUP!" I yell back, then blush.
"PLEASE TURN TOWARDS LEFT FIELD," the announcer speaks into his bullhorn. I bite my lip once again & turn. I look towards the scoreboard & there it is, in electronic letters, the sentence flashing:
ELSA ARENDELLE, WILL YOU GO OUT WITH ME? FROM JACK
I just immediately break out in tears. All the men gathered in left field turn towards me. In the middle of the circle of men is Jack, holding a rose. He is smiling. I feel the heat go to my cheeks & now the waterworks are coming. I cover my mouth with my hands.
"SO?" The announcer asks. I immediately run out to Jack. I jump into his arms & hug him like there's no tomorrow. Jack holds me for about three minutes. Then he lets me down.
"So it's a no?" He jokes. I just laugh & kiss him with everything I have. He kisses me back. This goes on for about thirty seconds. Then someone awkwardly coughs & Jack & I break for a breath. He leans his forehead against mine & closes my eyes. I laugh & grab his hand.
"Best. Date. Ever." I tell Jack, leading him off the field. I turn towards the bleachers to see Rap, Mer, Hiccup, & Eugene clapping. I laugh & run to my best friends, who smile at me & giggle. Jack keeps his eye on me the whole time. Now I finally know what true love is, & I know Jack isn't a lying scumbag like Jamie was. Jack wouldn't be so irresponsible & break my heart like that, let alone get drunk to do it. I secretly sigh to myself as I realize I have my life back. My amazing friends, my awesome fantastically fantastic boyfriend, & all my holes are patched up. Jack takes my hand & we leave behind Rap & Eugene. Rapunzel is skipping down the sidewalk & every now & then poking Eugene. You can tell he loves Punzie because he doesn't get annoyed. Suddenly Rap goes to poke him in the cheek & he catches her hand. She giggles madly when he smirks at her. Then she twists free & starts to run away. Eugene is too quick though & catches her. They're so adorable. I look at Jack out of the corner of my eye & see he is staring at the happy couple too. I poke him in the cheek as a joke & he gives me the stink eye. I run away & jump right onto Eugene's back. He stumbles a little but catches himself. Merida skateboards past us & rolls her eyes.
"Girls," she sighs. Hiccup & Euegene just laugh.
"You're a girl too," Punzie says like the sassy little girl she is. Suddenly Mer hits a stick on the sidewalk & tumbled off her skateboard.
"Babe!" Hiccup yells. We all look at him in surprise.
"Uh..." he awkwardly says, then we all run for Merida.
"My ankle," Mer complains, wincing in pain, but never crying. I bite my lip & pull out my phone. After two minutes I report to the group.
"Ambulance is on its way," I repeat. Mer nods & groans.
"I got you," Hiccup says. Then with his little skinny arms, picks Mer up bridal style. She giggles at his sudden strength, yet doesn't question it. Within five minutes the ambulance arrived & I call Mer's mom. Once Merida is settled & Hiccup is with her, we leave, after telling Hic to give us updates. Jack drives me home & at the door, he kisses me.
"I had a really good time tonight," he says. I nod & smile.
"Same," I reply. Jack nods & I kiss his cheek.
"Goodnight Jack-o-lantern," I joke.
"What did you just call me?" Jack turns around.
"Nothing..." I blush.
"Already with nicknames?" He smirks.
"Yuppers," I give him a gigantic toothy smile.
"Since Jack-o-lanterns are around Halloween, during the fall season, I'll call you Snowflake because you come around in the winter, a season." Jack explains. I sigh but nod. Then he laughs & we wave goodbye. I get inside & shut the door.
"Elsa?" Mom calls.
"It's me Momma," I reply.
"Elsie!" Anna calls. Must've gotten it from Carissa. I roll my eyes & go to the living room.
"So congrats," Eric smiles warmly. I raise a brow.
"Rap took a vid & posted it on Facebook & Instagram," Anna explains. I roll my eyes & giggle. She would. I just sit next to my mom as she asks me every detail.
