Chapter 11

Elsa's POV

Over the weekend I pretty much text & hang out. Jamie invites me for a pizza date & I agree so Saturday night we sit in Olive's Pizzeria & eat greasy deep dish & talk about school. It turns out, he goes to Lakeland but is a Junior. Sadly, I won't see him as much as I want to. Then we talk about birthdays & I am reminded my birthday is in a week now. Hopefully something will put me in a good mood for my birthday. But so far Jamie was doing pretty good on being my ray of sunshine. I couldn't help thinking though that every time I hugged Jamie, he was Jack. I didn't want it, but the thought just came to my head. After our pizza date, we take a walk around the park & Jamie kisses my cheek. Then we part our separate ways. When I got home, Kristoff was there with Anna. It seemed like they were always hanging out now. I went up to my room & fell asleep.

Monday came too quickly, but I couldn't do anything about it. When I reached the school campus, everyone was screaming with joy. What was going on? I passed the outline board with our activities & saw a sign. Masquerade Ball. You have got to be kidding me.
"Elsa! Isn't this great?" Rap squeals behind me. I plaster a fake smile on my face & turn around.
"Yeah, it's great!" I remark. Then I spot Merida. She looks like someone just killed her puppy. I look to her left & see Hiccup standing about 20 feet away.
"Merida?" I ask.
"I don't want a ball! I probably won't get asked anyway," she cried, dropping her head even lower. I looked over at Hiccup & winked. He smiled, then turned & ran. I patted Merida's back then went off to find Miranda & Shay. I finally found them by the second bulletin board.
"Hey ladies," I greeted.
"OMG! A ball?!? I hope Hans asks me!" Miranda is shaking with joy. Shay rolls her eyes.
"Who's Hans?" I questioned
"Hans is the dude he met at that party while you were off with Jamie," Shay retorted. I rolled my eyes. Of course she did. Then someone came up behind me & slung their arm around my shoulder.
"Guess who?" The voice said.
"The boogeyman?" I giggled. Then I opened my eyes to see Pitch Black put his head down from across the yard & frown.
"Oops," I giggled. Jamie grabs my hands as he laughs too. Then he walks me to my locker. Once at my locker, he kisses my cheek goodbye & leaves. I felt bad for leaving Miranda & Shay all of a sudden, but they were busy. I shrug as I grab my books & head to my next class.
