Jelsa Goes to High School Twist

Chapter 24

Elsa's POV

The next morning I wake up & head to school. Anna got home late last night & is still grumpy because she didn't get much sleep, but she heard about Jamie though & sincerely felt bad until she just about passed out from being tired. We got out of the car & walked up the wide sidewalk. On the bulletin board was a poster of Jamie doing cocaine & he looked retarded. The sign read:
"Idiot does drugs bc he can't keep a girl."
I chuckle at someone's cleverness & almost feel a bit sorry for the guy. But my feelings are washed away when I see Jamie coming towards me, his hands outstretched. I roll my eyes & turn away.
"Elsa! Baby!" He cried.
"Get away from me," I screamed.
"Come on, you know you love me," Jamie yells back. Tears are running down my face now because this was so overwhelming. I hear a thud & turn around. Jack has his arm on Jamie's shoulder & is glaring at him.
"Go away," he orders.
"But-" Jamie protests.
"Go. Away."
"Geez fine. But this isn't over," Jamie points at me. Then he stalks off. I hiccup with a sob.
"Els, I'm so-" Jack starts.
"Thanks. I gotta go," I cry. Then I turn & run into the girls bathroom. After about 10 minutes I'm finally ready to face others. But as soon as I get out the door I run into Shay & Miranda.
"Oh hey guys," I smile.
"Hey!" Shay yells. Miranda nudges her & Shay stops smiling. I furrow my brow.
"Everything...okay?" I asked.
"Yep, just fine," Shay slightly grins. This time, Miranda slams her foot down on Shay's toe. Shay yelps in pain.
"Miranda?" I ask finally.
"Elsa. Can you just stop?" Miranda rolls her eyes.
"What are you talking about?" I ask.
"You know, hanging out with Rapunzel & Merida & them without us," Miranda explains.
"What are you sayin? I asked if you guys wanted to come!" I explained.
"Mhmm," Miranda muttered.
"Well I can just tell you don't want to hang with us anymore," Miranda adds. Then she flips her hair & turns away. Okay then? Then I notice Shay still standing there. My poor sweet Shay. I reach out my hand & I can tell she wants to take it but then she looks at the ground, curls her fingers, & turns. I sigh. New tears run down my face & I hear footsteps behind me. I turn & see Jack.
"Why are you always here? I don't always need to be with me & defend me! I can fight for myself!" I shout. Then I run from that hallway, away from everyone. I can't take it anymore. Time to shut myself up again & go into hibernation. I'm tired of my life. Why can't I just end it now?!? I picture myself with a gun to my temple. That's not right though. I couldn't do that to my mom & Eric. I love them too much. I call my Mom & ask her to pick me up. She doesn't even ask me why, just agrees to it. I'm glad to get away from this wasteland of human bodies.

The next morning I wake up with a terrible headache. Of course, Mom lets me stay home. She's so good to me. I sleep most the day & then Mer & Rap bring me soup after they get out of school. Then Rap explains she noticed Jack was also gone today. She thought we were off doing something but I just told her that was NOT it. Then they left & I went back to bed.

I groggily woke up & peeked at my alarm clock. It read 3:26 a.m. Ugh, why was I up at this hour? I sat up in bed & grabbed my phone. A new text showed on my home screen. It was from Jack.

Jack: I'm really sorry for always being a nuisance to u. I rlly don't mean 2, it just happens I am always there when ur in trouble, which is a lot ): I really like u & I'm sry

Jack: & btw ik u can stand up for urself I've seen it b4

I sigh & run my hands through my hair. Jack was really nice.

Me: sry for being rude to u earlier. The only reason was cuz I was angry & looking for someone to take it out on😕 sry will u forgive me?

Jack: course

Me: oh you're still up?

Jack: hah yeah I couldn't sleep too much was on my mind

Me: like....?

Jack: my idiot brother & a girl not happy w/ me

Me: would that girl be me?

Jack: yeah...(:

Me: sry I kept u up I guess ):

Jack: it's k but I gotta go b4 my mom catches me

Me: gnight

I shut off my phone & smile. Then I lay my head back & try to sleep.
