***1 year and 6 months before Ghostface returns***
Amber Freeman woke up to the sound of her alarm.

She groaned as she reached over to shut it off. She squinted to read over the notifications on her phone that had built up overnight.

There were a few Snapchat notifications. Messages in her group chat. Nothing exciting.
She sighed when she realized Tara, her best friend, hadn't replied to her last night.

Dragging herself out of bed, Amber began her morning routine.
She couldn't hear her parents in the kitchen, so she assumed they had already left for work.

No surprise there, they worked a lot.

Amber didn't complain though. She used their regular absence to have parties in their giant house.

Amber Freeman's was THE place to party. She liked that she was known for them too. The attention that came along with this title was something she craved.

Her house was perfect for big parties.

It was a 4,900-square-foot mansion with straight grain wood detailing. There was plenty of room for many people to occupy the space.
The house's grandeur was only half of why Amber loved it though.

Her house used to be Stu Macher's, which is where the Woodsboro Murders took place.

Amber loved the Stab movies, and she was beyond excited to have moved into this house. At first, her parents didn't know any of the gory details. Amber's mother had fallen in love with the house.

They were hesitant to buy it once the truth had come to light.

Amber didn't understand the big deal. Only four people actually died there, really only two INSIDE of the house.
The town of Woodsboro didn't seem to be scared of the house as there was a whole subdivision built behind it now.
Eventually, her mother had convinced her father to buy it. A perfect reflection of their relationship.

When they moved in, Amber figured everyone would be intrigued by her new home.
However, Woodsboro seemed to have moved on.

A few of her classmates found it interesting but not to the extent Amber wanted.
Even Martha Meeks let her children hang out there.

People her age didn't really care for Stab or its history. For this reason, Amber downplayed her love for them.
Horror had evolved past Stab, but it still held a piece of Amber's heart.

When Amber got to school, she parked in her usual spot next to Tara. Tara quickly moved from her own car to Amber's, their normal routine.
Tara smiled as she shut the door, "Good morning."

Amber smiles but does not look up from her phone, "Morning, Carpenter."

"Sorry I fell asleep on you last night," Tara said pouting.

Amber shrugged, "It's cool. How was your...thing with Wes?"

Tara sighed, "It was good, I guess."

Amber laughed, "That would break his fragile little heart if he heard you say that."

Tara frowned slightly, "I know...just in the awkward phase or something."
