Things had been going according to plan.
Perfectly.

Amber had successfully and swiftly taken care of Vince, which was more exciting than Tara's attack.

She felt more relaxed during that kill.
The feeling of power and bloodlust were beginning to grow in her.
Which was both scary and exhilarating.

Richie had also attacked Sam in the hospital, which led to further clearing Amber's involvement.

She had enjoyed pointing the finger at each other in front of the sheriff and Carpenter sisters.

Sam seemed to be fully convinced of Richie's innocence in the entire charade as well.

At least that's how Richie interpreted it.

The only interesting and unexpected development was Sam's confession to Tara.

Richie had reported that Sam told Tara about her true bloodline after Amber had left the hospital.

Amber hadn't considered that Sam would actually come clean to Tara.
She had figured that would be information revealed in their 3rd act.

Amber only found comfort in Tara's response to the truth.
Richie had heard her yelling at Sam.
Demanding she get out.
Enough so that Sam came out of the interaction in tears.

However, Tara had yet to text, call, or tell Amber about this "truth".

Which deeply wounded her.
Why wouldn't Tara want to share it with her own girlfriend?

Wouldn't she want...need to confide in someone?
Shouldn't that someone be Amber?

Amber didn't have too long to dwell on Tara's silence when she was called to the Meeks-Martin house.

By Sam.

Amber sat in the Meeks-Martin living room with Chad, Wes, and Liv.

They all sighed when Mindy entered the room followed by Sam, Richie, and Dewey.

Sam had claimed that she needed to tell all of them something.
Which Amber suspected was the truth.

Again...another surprise.
Sam held onto her secret for years yet now she was willing to let everyone hear the truth.

Richie didn't seemed concerned with Sam's confessions, so Amber went with the flow.

After Martha Meeks-Martin dropped snacks off, Sam revealed her secret and theory about why Ghostface had returned.

Chad leaned forward, "So...let me get this straight. You're the daughter of Billy Loomis...and you think one of us is the killer?"

"In my experience, the killer is connected to the friend group...most of the time," Dewey confirmed.

Mindy contemplated, "That makes sense. We all know Tara...we were all at the bar after Vince bit it."

Sam shook her head, "The killer said he knew my secret. I think he attacked Tara to lure me back into town."

Not as dumb as she looks huh
