Since both of us admitting our feelings to each other, a lot had happened.
It was April now, which didn't exactly seem the most exciting compared to everything else, but Tracey insisted it was the most relevant thing happening right now. Which was no surprise seeing at it was her birthday month.
But, along with it turning April, other things had been happening. Lee had finally asked Pansy to become his girlfriend, my parents were once again bugging me about the fact that I wasn't replying to any of their letters (who could blame me?) and most importantly Ron and I had been getting on better than ever. Even better than this January.
Seems that after both of us emotionally professed our love we had become even closer than before. Who would've thought?
Though, thankfully, I was able to put Ron and I's relationship on the back of my list in worries at the moment because according to Tracey I did have more important things to focus on.
No, not school.
Her birthday party.
"So you know...have you planned me a big birthday bash or something?" Tracey asked the table, all four of us sitting comfortably in the library as we tried our best to study for the exams in a couple months time - even if both Pansy and I were looking at a completely unrelated muggle magazine.
"Oh the biggest," Pansy grinned, lying through her teeth.
Truth be told, we had not planned a single fucking thing. And, I know that sounds bad because I suppose it was really. But, the only reason we hadn't planned it was because Cedric had made us promise not to do anything without him and he had been sitting in the hospital wing with a broken nose (which was a sex related injury I decided neither of them had to share details about).
"You liars," she groaned, pushing the work she hadn't even been doing across the table alongside the polishes she had been coating her nails in.
"Okay, but Cedric insisted we waited for him!" I replied, pulling my eyes away from the 'top ten heartthrobs of the 90's' section on page number five.
"Yeah, and your birthday isn't even until the 17th. We have like twelve days until then, including the trips to Hogsmeade and days in which we're all off shagging our girlfriends,"
"And boyfriends," Tracey added, becoming less angry at the sound of sex.
"On that note though, how is Cedric doing?" Millicent asked, her attention still half thrown at the Runes book resting on her lap.
"Yeah, he's alright. I mean we've still been fucking if that gives you any idea?"
"You two would find a way to have sex if there was a fucking apocalypse, it does not in fact 'give us any idea'" I exclaimed, Pansy snickering from my side.
"Okay, not being funny, but if the world was ending why wouldn't you want that? Like again, not being funny, but you guys are crazy" she replied honestly, causing all of us to shut up in disgust and slight understanding.
But, the silence wasn't all bad, in fact it actually gave me time to try and plan Tracey's party. Initially I was thinking something genital related, maybe the birthday girl could dress up as a vulva and the rest of us as our favourite body part. But, then I thought of the photos she would probably want to take and show to her mum, so genitals didn't seem ideal.
"Right, I know Cedric hasn't recovered yet. But have any of you actually got any ideas for this party?" I asked as Tracey had left to find something in the library, though I knew her well enough to know that she was probably leaving us an opportunity to plan.
