Sitting in the exam hall I felt myself begin to drift off.
Had I finished the exam? Not exactly, no.
Was I enjoying the view of Ron as he sat at his desk, hands running through his hair and sleeves rolled up? A definite yes, now that was the best part of the exam hall.
The test had actually been going okay for the first couple of pages, my attention not once faltering as I wanted to make Millicent proud. But slowly when questions about 'potion making' started to appear I felt my brain quickly switch off - especially when I saw Tracey doing the exact same.
The exam hall had been particularly hot that day. It was the last day of exams and with the sun pouring through the large windows inside the Great Hall, my body was practically begging me to take a nap of some sorts. In fact I had actually worked out the exact time I would have to wake up if I wanted to answer a couple more questions. Or you know, keep looking at Ron.
So, with only half an hour left I allowed myself to close my eyes, deciding that if the school wanted to test us relentlessly then I would do exactly the same.
"Five O's Flo, you're bloody amazing! You're so smart and great and...oh fuck it-will you be my wife?" the man in front of me asked, both of us sitting in a plush room of some sorts. But definitely not my dorm room.
"You want me to be your wife?" I asked, or more like gasped in disbelief "Are you sure? I thought we weren't doing the couple stuff?"
"I don't care about that, I just want you. Now"
Something about his words seemed awfully dreamy and with his face smiling up at me I couldn't help but give into his stupid blushed face.
"I would love that Gilderoy, we're going to be so happy! Ettle, Arthur and Florence Jr. will be so happy to know mummy and daddy are finally getting married"
It was something I never thought would happen. Ever.
When we met on some random Tuesday at this old place, maybe a bar? Or it could've been in a park? No! It was a book signing! Or was it? Actually, I have no fucking clue. Where did I meet my future husband exactly?
And where was I?
Suddenly I woke up with a loud snore, a couple of people turning round in their seats to look at me. Embarrassed, I began to put on a slight coughing fit - deciding it was a lot less humiliating to look ill than to have people think I was falling asleep during my test (or worse, dreaming about getting married to Lockheart).
When readjusting to waking up I realised I only had five minutes left of time that I was supposed to be spending answering more questions. But, when looking over (once again) towards Ron's direction I noticed him with his test pushed to the side, closed, and decided I would just stare at him for the rest of the time limit. Especially as his fingers tapped against the wood of his desk and I watched him sigh ever so often.
"Quills down and tests to the side" McGonagall called from the front of the hall, making me smile. Which was mostly due to the fact that it meant tests were done for good this year, but also because it reminded me so fondly of sneaking into her office.
As everyone turned to look at their friends with mixed emotions I looked over at Pansy who was at my side - her expression both relieved and full of nerves. Which was surprising really, seeing as she normally dealt with tests pretty well.
"You alright?" I whispered, still trying to keep my voice to a minimum as I was aware of the professors wandering the through the hall collecting our papers.
