"Oh shit" I shouted at the shock of the ginger bursting through the room.
"What are you doing here! And what's that you're holding?" he inquired as I moved Tracey and I's reports behind my back.
"I was uh-well I was just looking for a ring that I lost" I bluffed hoping that he may just let this whole thing slide, seeing as we were doing well ignoring one another these past few days.
"Right" he nodded sceptically stepping closer to the chair that was leaning against the pit of my knee.
"More importantly, what are you doing in here?" I asked slowly moving away from the desk and closer to the cupboard that was bursting open with our reports.
"Well that's none of your business" he said shuffling on his feet, clearly hiding something.
In hindsight I probably should've stopped harassing him around about now seeing as I was presumably hiding something a lot worse. But, of course, I could not control myself and continued to hassle him about his 'secret'.
As I placed the reports down on the table, behind my back. I swiftly reached for the paper on top of the desk.
I scanned the sheet and realised that it was a piece of homework that was due weeks ago.
"You know this was due ages ago" I laughed placing the paper back down on the desk.
"Whatever, how do you even know that? I don't think I've ever seen you do a piece of homework in your life" he taunted as I raised my eyebrows - I hadn't realised we were getting defensive. Nevertheless, I bit back.
"Not that I care about your point of view may I just say but I do in fact do my homework. In fact, you noticing that I don't hand in my homework is rather creepy" I teased as he stood unknowingly.
"Everyone knows that, it's common knowledge" he blushed slightly and the satisfaction I gained from his stuttering was like no other.
"Wow, seems i'm rather popular then. Noted" I smirked.
"Anyway you're deflecting the question" he accused as I snatched the reports back and took a seat on Mcgonagall's chair.
"Sorry Weasley you'll have to repeat the question after all of this news of me being popular it has slipped my mind" I laughed slightly as he stood rather neutrally on the other side of Mcgonagall's desk.
"What are you really doing in here? I know you're not looking for a ring" he pushed, as I placed my legs atop her desk.
"Good question Weasley, shame I don't like you. Otherwise you may have had a shot at an answer" I smiled as his posture became more tense and he started to walk around the desk.
I slightly pushed the chair backwards in hopes that Ron would take that as a hint not to come any closer. However, seems he didn't get the memo as he continued to get closer.
I stood up from Mcgonagall's chair and backed away slightly.
"You won't be able to find out what i'm holding Weasley so there is no point trying" I said hopefully he wouldn't catch my bluff. As I was becoming increasingly close to the stone wall and if I ended up with my back against that there was no escape from his curious eye.
"I feel like there is a point trying though. You've already made fun of me so I figure it's your turn" he shrugged and I felt myself weirdly attracted to his demanding demeanour. Shame it wasn't someone like Theodore Nott or Draco, in fact I would prefer Goyle to Weasley right now.
"I didn't make fun of you at all" I rolled my eyes at the sensitivity of the boy.
I continued to stumble backwards as he strode towards me - in a totally non creepy way? Never mind, I suppose it was a bit creepy. Our eyes remained stuck on one another until my shoulder blade struck the cold, stone wall and a slight gasp left my lips at the realisation of how fucked I was.
