"Do you think anyone can tell I'm about to fall asleep at the table?" I mumbled, the only reason my head wasn't currently in my bowl of cereal being that my hands were supporting my face, and Tracey was keeping an eye out.

"Maybe Snape, that man is always staring over here though. So it's no surprise" Pansy shrugged, turning her attention away from the table at the front of the Great Hall as she replied to my question.

It seems that the only people who were badly hit with the weed hangover was both Ron and I, the others seeming to take it well - and taking great pleasure in rubbing that fact in.

"Why haven't you just taken a Pepperup potion?" Millicent asked, happily eating her breakfast as she had visibly taken her own advice.

"Because then I'd have to go to Pomfrey and she'd ask all her questions and then I'd get in trouble, and then they'd tell my parents and-"

"Okay, we get it. No Pepperup potion," Tracey interrupted, feeling the second roughest of the group "at least you have Ron to wallow in self pity with"

I looked up from my bowl to see Ron, looking just as awful as me and presumably just as tired. His head was rested on one of his palms as he pushed his breakfast around on his plate - a telltale sign that something wasn't right with him. Hermione and Harry were clearly interested in what exactly had happened last night, because I could see them asking Ron a question and quickly looking at one another after. Just like me though, the boy was obviously not all that willing to talk.

Given, it had only taken us about five seconds to fall asleep, the strong strain doing most of the work for us. But it never was the falling asleep that was our problem, instead it was the waking up, because the truth was neither of us wanted to see the light and we definitely did not want to go down to potions.

"Yeah, I'm surprised Cedric looks so chipper this morning to be honest"

"So was I! I thought we were going to stay back from lessons together but he's right as rain!" Tracey moaned, the girl understandably peeved that her boyfriend didn't feel as bad as her - even if she looked a whole lot better than I did.

"I wanted to stay with Ron too, but Molly says he's not allowed to have anymore days off." Tracey's eyebrows furrowed in confusion "Too close to the summer holidays apparently"

The table laughed at my statement, not in a mocking tone instead more in shock. Shock that a parent could actually care about such things. "That's the cutest thing I've ever heard a parent say"

"She is a cute woman I must admit. Ron loves her a lot"

"Imagine if my mum said something like that!" Pansy exclaimed "My dad would probably take her to St.Mungos thinking the woman had gone mad"

"Don't worry Pans me too, Molly's just a good batch. I do think she favours Ginny a bit too much though, but maybe that's just my jealously talking" I shrugged, ready to get out of the Great Hall and begin the lessons. Wanting the day to be over before it had even begun.

"Why do you think that? Does Ron secretly hate Ginny or something? Is there news we need to know about the Weasley family?" Millicent pressed, pushing her bowl away as she prepared herself to listen (and probably feed it back to Cho later).

"Woah Mills! I know you've been reading a lot of Skeeter lately, but you're about to put Flo to sleep at the table again if you pester her so much"

"Sorry, sorry. Just passionate to hear family problems that aren't mine for once"

"It's an addiction," Pansy whispered, receiving a firm jab in the arm soon after.

"No, he doesn't secretly hate his sister or his family that mean everything to him." I thought my friends were smart, all of them getting good grades on exams. Clearly not though, that weed had switched something in their brain because they weren't making any sense. "He just feels...under-appreciated at times, second best really. Which is no surprise having Hermione and Harry as friends"
