Chapter 7: Confused

Luz and Amity stayed at the old, abandoned park for quite a long time. Amity was the only one talking/rambling. Luz sometimes adding an comment or joke once a while. Mostly she just stayed quiet.

Amity had to go home around 2 in the morning before her mom found out she snuck outside. Luz walked back to her house, listening to music. She took her time getting back home not even worrying about eda, knowing that eda would be fine with her coming back home at 2 in the morning.

Location: Noceda Household/ Time 2:55 am

Luz walked into the house, meeting with the darkness of the house. She walked up to her room. She was to confused and tired to change so she flopped on her bed and fell asleep.

She confused about Amity. Amity Blight. She didn't know whether to be nice to her or be mean towards her. Sure Luz was still mad at what Amity did. but, seeing Amity tonight, confused the latina.

Whenever Amity looked at her, she blushed. Amity has a boyfriend so, why would she be blushing at Luz?

Amity was the one who broke up with Luz. So, why? It doesn't make sense.

Luz is happy that Amity moved on with someone new.

Right?

Luz woke up with her head hurting. The only thing on the latina's mind was a 'mint haired girl'. She hated it. Absolutely hated it. Luz never thought about Amity until they stayed at the park together that night.

Luz knew she was never going back to bed. She walked down the stairs to the kitchen, to get a cup of cold water. Luz sat on one of the stools at the bar they had in the kitchen. Holding her glass of water with her head in her other arm.

Luz had almost fallen asleep before the door opened and closed with a quiet but loud slam. Enough to wake Luz up.
Luz whipped her head to the side to see who had come home.

And to see who it was, she wasn't even surprised. Not one bit. At all.
Luz kept her annoyed, poker face.

"What are you doing coming home at 5 in the morning?" Luz asked her brother who walked in the kitchen. "Why do you need to know? Your not my mom" Luz's brother growled opening the fridge.

Luz rolled her eyes at the statement. "I Know! We both don't have mom's. Dumbass!" Luz growled getting angry at her brother. Luz saw her brother sit next to her. "Woah! Easy there tiger! Don't forget to take your pill in a hour or you'll rip someone's head off today." Hunter said holding his hands up in defense.

Luz ignored hunter, looking off to the wooden floor they had in the kitchen.
hunter was three years older than Luz was. To Luz he was also a big pain in the ass. You could say that hunter and Luz had a love-hate sibling relationship.

Luz was thinking about asking hunter something. But, she wasn't sure if he was going to take it seriously. Luz decided to ask him anyway.

Luz cleared her throat, getting hunter's attention. "Hey, Imma ask you a question. Can you please take this seriously?" Luz asked, hoping hunter would agree.

Hunter ruffled his hair, messing it up. "Sure...I mean it too..." Hunter replied. Luz smiled to her surprise hunter returned the smile.

"I'm confused." Luz simply said to hunter who raised an eyebrow.

"Confused about what?" hunter said trying to figure out what Luz was saying.

"Amity"
