I wake up to a screaming alarm.
School today. Mondays suck. Ugh.
I get up and dress up. My limbs are better today, that is something to be happy about.
The students are probably going to ask me about where I've been or what happened. Suddenly they care. I hate every second of being in school.I pace downstairs to make myself some breakfast. The twins are eating cereal while watching cartoons. Guess that Jill is asleep.
Very well...I grab a bowl and start pouring milk in it. Soon, I'm eating the same cereal as the twins.
When I finish, I tiredly wander upstairs. I'm lying on my bed, listening to music until I hear Daniel's car honk.
How long has he been here?I enter the car and give him a kiss on the cheek.
"Hey,"
"Hey...,"
I lean against his shoulder as he starts the car.
"Are you ok, since, the... ehm," Daniel stutters lowly.
I giggle at how he said that."Yeah, I'm fine. A little sore and stiff but alive. And with you so, double fine,"
He laughs. Wow, he has an AMAZING laugh. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I KNOW!
Everyone thinks their loved one's has a amazing laugh.
But Daniel really has.
Along with the sweet person he is.
He actually cares about me without just seeing my wounds. So many reasons why I love him.I gaze him in the eyes. They're filled with care and love. This guy would actually care if I disappeared. And I would if he did.
Looking back at who I was a few months ago, Daniel has really changed me.
To the better.
Sure, there is dark thoughts still dying my mind but if you compare this and a few months ago, I'm basically eating rainbows and breathing flowers.I snuggle my face into his shirt. He chuckles a little as I do so.
"I just really love you...," I mumble into his shoulder.
"I know,"
"Narcissist,"He laughs again. Ugh, why does he have to be SO lovable?! Then there's me, completely trash. I want to be near him forever. I sound so clingy right now, but it's just the truth.
Daniel kisses my cheek quickly after he pulls over. We're at school. Dammit, I wished the traffic had been slower.
Sighing, I exit the car. Daniel takes my hand after exiting and locking the car."Are you sure you're fine?"
I nod slowly.
I have to be.The school is the same. I see Lexi and Aja stand by my locker. We slowly approach them.
Aja's face shines up in a sad smile as she sees me."Sorry...," She almost whispers.
"Aja, it's ok. You didn't ORDER me getting beat-up, right?" I ask sarcastically, putting my free hand up.
"I guess,"I smile.
Lexi stares at me with sad eyes.
"Lexi, it isn't your fault either,"
"Yeah. I know. I just can't shake off the guilt...,"
"Then ignore it,"She shrugs.
"Trying to," She mumbles.
The bell rings, time for "learning".Pretty soon, I get lost in the same pattern. Getting lost in the crowd, then stepping out to walk on my own.
Feeling like I don't belong here. Arrogant, mean, judgemental looks hits me.There's something about Lily though. Her smile is even more evil than I remember. She chews on her pen as she stares.
Lily isn't quite discreet about it. Actually, she is turned to me, piercing me with those eyes filled with hate. A wild, uncomfortable smile is on her lips.
There's something up...I decide to stare back. The staring continues until the teacher starts talking to her. Lily makes me uncomfortable.
Because there is an certain evil in her eyes that I haven't seen in anyone else.
Not even the guy who tried to rape me.
