Making my way quickly down rushing towards Dominic struggling to move. Dominic kicked my knee "Aaaah!" I grunted stumbling and falling against the cold, wet grass. Dominic quickly got into his feet as I struggled to crawl away in time.
Grabbing my wrist forcefully extending my arm as if I was reaching up to him with his knee pressed into my rib cage. Looking up into his eyes as Dominic snapped my arm against his bent leg. Wailing out in agony unable to ignore the pain he caused. My broken arm fell limp as he let my arm go. Holding my arm panicking trying to crawl away from him.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk." Dominic drew out menacingly as I let out a desperate sob to get away. He grabbed my ankle dragging me back to him. "No," I sobbed trying to claw at the grass. "The fun isn't over yet." He said bowing over me as I laid on my back.
"You and Nathan deserve a slow painful death. A bullet is too kind for what you've done. I'm going to take pleasure in watching him suffer. He'll regret ever letting you into his life." Dominic taunted gripping my throat as he kneeled over me laying on the ground helpless.
"I hope Rose didn't get too attached to the fellow." Dominic continued as I gasped for air struggling to breathe. "Maybe I'll let her watch." He breathed leaning into my ear.
Tensing my jaw snarling as I shoved his hand away from my throat. Wrapping my legs around his neck in a headlock catching him off guard. Dominic laughed amused in our position on the ground making me grit my teeth trying to keep my hold.
"I missed this." He smiled out of breath making me let out a loud groan as he struggled to breathe and pull away. I felt his hands on my butt before squeezing it making me tense my jaw. I quickly let go of my hold before kicking his face and his wound on his arm.
We both stood slowly watching each other until Dominic kicked me making me dodge it with my non broken arm. He punched me hard causing me to whip my head to the side before he grabbed my arm and threw me into the side of the building. Letting out a sudden scream landing on my arm. My head hit against the ground hard making my vision blurry. "Dominic..." I struggled to move. "please."
"Mikhail told me about how much you'd grown. How powerful you had become since I last saw you. Everyone thought I had made a mistake to leave you. If only they saw the real you." He began slowly limping towards me as I struggled to get up as quickly as before.
"Mikhail came to me before he assigned you to Nathan Vanderbilt. Asking for my opinion if you were ready for a higher profile case. If you would be trusted and reliable." Dominic explained as I tried to get up. "And I assured him that you were." He confessed to my surprise.
"Now I see you're not nearly as gifted and brilliant as they all thought you were. You allowed the one thing you were trained to suppress above all else. Your feelings." Dominic said as I looked up intimidated. "You hide behind your beauty and seduction. Your false confidence. All because you're a woman. That isn't true talent." He spit towering over me before kicking my stomach without warning. Hunching over coughing uncontrollably as he continued.
"You've started a war with the most powerful men all over the world when you decided to turn your back on us." Dominic finally stopped his assault as he kicked in the side of my stomach. "All for a chance to be in love. As if a thing exists." Dominic scoffed in disbelief as I panted struggling to breathe holding my stomach in pain.
There was a short silence as he stared down at me amused never tearing his eyes away from me trying to intimidate me. I burned holes into him as I pushed away my pain to stand up trying to see unaffected.
"You're right. I should be thanking you." I began limping onto my feet unable to stand tall. He frowned confused with a dazed look of bewilderment. "And this organization because if I hadn't been a part of it for all these years then I wouldn't have met him. Because I happen to know for a fact that love does exist because of this life we've led." I continued forcing myself to see the positive aspect of all of this death and hatred we surrounded ourselves with.
