His face moved as he woke up snapped me from my thoughts. Nathan's eyes opened to see me looking across at him. A sleepy smile grew on his handsome features pulling at my heartstrings. "Morning." He smiled. "How'd you sleep?" Nathan asked through a groggy voice turning my brain into putty.

Nathan pulled me closer realizing I wasn't going to answer before kissing my neck. "We'll visit my family today. I know how important it is to you." Nathan said nuzzling his head into my neck as he continued to hold me.

Nathan and I were getting ready to see his family as I got dressed in skinny jeans and a sweater preparing for the harsh New York winter. I helped Nathan tie his tie and put his suit coat on over his sling. After we finished getting ready with the occasional small talk about his family, I checked on Rose to see she was in her room putting on her shoes.

"Hey, baby." I smiled weakly walking towards her to help tie them. "Hi, Mommy! I'm excited to meet his family." Rose said excitedly making me look up at her. "You really like him, huh?" I asked softly making her smile as a soft pink covered her cheeks. "Nathan is nice and he's funny." Rose gushed. "Everyone else treats me like a dumb little kid." She frowned annoyed making me chuckle.

"We might have to move again. Are you okay with that, honey?" I asked softly tucking a strand of her brown hair behind her ear knowing she would miss Nick and Nathan. "With you right?" She asked quickly making my lips part. "Oh, honey. Of course." I breathed bringing her into a hug as my heart broke.

"But Nathan might not be able to." I eased making her frown as I held her small delicate hands in my aching and bruised ones. "Why not?" Rose asked softly making my heart ache never expecting her to grow so attached to him. And hating myself for letting it happen.

"He has his own life here." I answered simply making her nod bowing her head slightly. I tilted her chin up as I applied a small fake smile. "Don't worry we will always visit them for every holiday." I smiled hesitantly. She smiled brightly lifting a weight off my shoulders.

"Now let's go! Valerie misses you." I said pushing away the hurt I was feeling, standing up reaching for her hand. I left to see Nathan was on the phone with his back to us. He hung up with a huff making me frown.

"Let's go! Valerie promised me she would show me their playroom and have a tea party with me." Rose exclaimed as he hung up turning around. "Hey, I've been ready. I was waiting for you." Nathan replied making her giggle before running away to put her coat on.

"Don't be nervous." Nathan said walking towards me making me look away from Rose. "They will love you. And they will understand after I explain everything that has happened. Don't worry." He said wrapping his arm around my waist pulling me closer into a hug.

Raking my arms around his waist underneath his coat as I rested my chin on his shoulder filling with hate towards myself. I closed my eyes pulling away as I softly grabbed his head in my hands.

I looked him in the eye memorizing his soft smile making me smile back before I kissed him. Bringing my palm to his face memorizing everything I could in this moment until he pulled away hearing Rose again.

"Let's go!" Rose whined seeing her staring in annoyance making Nathan chuckle. I pulled away from his warm embrace. Grabbing my coat and purse as he grabbed the keys by the front door before we all left. Rose and I rushed inside the car to quickly get out of the cold before Nathan drove away.

After we finally got to his parents' house, we left the warm car walking up the steps to their large familiar estate. His mother answered the door with a bright smile on her face. "Nathan," She breathed engulfing him in a hug as we walked inside.

"What happened to you?" She asked full of worry. She closed the door behind us noticing Rose. "And who is this?" His mother asked with a hesitant smile looking down at Rose.
