"Crustello!!" Chief commander Zana barked in my ear. "We have a raid to prevent in two hours and your not even remotely armored! What would your parents have said? They died fighting for our cause!" I stared off into the distance, I'd already heard this lecture before, I knew that we were fighting for a cause, but the result of that cause seemed so far out in the distance, far out of our reach. I wanted to actually do something that worked, not prevent raids and wait for more. I wanted to get out there, get in their faces, do something productive for once! If only they would let me, ever since my parents died, it has been non-stop overprotection. "Crustello?!" I had zoned out long enough, the lecture was over. "Crustello are you even listening?"
"Sure Zana, sure." I said, hoping she would leave me alone after that.
"Hey, look at me. I know that you miss your parents, we all do, but the best thing to do is push on and power through." she put her hand on my shoulder. Sighing, I nodded and she left.
