(In perspective of Danny);

I walked into the lobby of our headquarters, and I couldn't help but notice a kid, about my age and about my height sitting on a bench with a backpack. He had brown hair and glasses that were slightly to big for him. I don't think he noticed me but I could tell that he was conflicted in some way, almost like he thought he didn't deserve to be here. I approached him slowly and remembered the exact words of Zana, "Make sure he feels welcome." I mean I was happy we were getting a new team member, but it seemed a little too soon after Pandal. I don't know about Zana but this was a little too awkward for a day after the betrayal. I sighed as I reached the bench, the guy looked up, curious of who I was.
"Hey I'm Danielle but my friends call me Danny." I reached out my hand, suggesting I wanted him to shake it back. His face sort of lit up and he smiled and took my hand.

"Um hi Danny, I'm Draco, I just came in from base two. Do you know where..." he took out a card and squinted while reading it. "...room 22 is?"
"Oh! That's my room! I can take you right now if your all signed in." I looked at the lady at the service desk and she nodded.

"Follow me." He stood up and I realized he was a bit taller than me, he grabbed his backpack and put it on.

"Where to?" He grasped his backpack straps as if he was waiting for an adventure. It made me laugh a bit.

"Right this way." I smiled and he followed. I trailed down the familiar hallways, taking all the twists and turns I had taken every day. I realized the Draco was a fair distance behind me. I slowed down a bit so he could catch up.

"Sorry." he looked down at my feet, as if not being able to keep up was a bad thing.

"Nah, I'm sorry, your new and you don't know the halls as well as I do... I was just going a bit too fast." I patted him on the shoulder and we continued on.
"So, what skills do you have? Like for the team I mean." I was kind of surprised that that was his first question for me.

"Skilled in weapon-try and acrobatics. You?" I looked back at him.

"I know a bit about robotics but I mainly specialize in vehicle operation."

"Wait, all vehicles, or just the ones that drive on the ground." I was trying to keep a conversation, because I knew he looked a bit uncomfortable.

"All vehicles, even boats and planes." I was slightly impressed.

"Well, if I ever want to go out joy riding, I'll make sure to get you." We both laughed a bit and Draco looked like he was loosening up a bit. Then, we reached my room.

"Well here it is, lovely old room 22." I opened the door for him. "I'll leave you to get unpacked, just call the main desk if you need anything, I'm gonna go get lunch."

"Alright, see ya later roomie" he waved and I waved back, then I headed towards the lunch room.
