(In perspective of Matthew Crustello):

"Your parents were a brave two, they weren't afraid of anything and they were determined to stop this war, single-handedly if need be. When they were given the opportunity to save Saddle-burgh, they just couldn't pass it up." Zana sat across me in a squeaky swirly chair in the off limits zone. We sat in the very room I had attempted to listen into. No one was in here it was just us. "Look Matt, I know you must be taking this pretty hard, would you like some water, tea, or coffee to make it a bit more comfortable?" This was the first time Zana had ever really tried to be hospitable to him, not to mention she used his nickname? Weird.
"Um, no thanks, I'm good." I wanted to hear more about my parents. But, I don't think I was the one that was uncomfortable at the time.
"Alright, well I'm gonna get some water from the kitchen, I'll be back in a bit. And if anyone comes in, just tell them that Zana let you in." Zana pushed her chair out and headed toward the door. She turned, "And Matt..."

I looked up at her and said, "Yeah?"

"We did try and protect your parents, they just wouldn't listen. And after they left, all we could do to help them was, well, to protect you." She closed the door and walked towards the kitchen. After she left, all I could think of was every moment of my life where Zana had been there, either when he was trying to touch a 360 degree oven or just catching grasshoppers in the fields. He suddenly felt a pang of guilt in his chest as he though about how harsh he had been on her earlier. He had just been too clouded by his own emotions to understand that she was just protecting him. Suddenly the door opened, I peeked up, almost expecting to see Zana but in walked a security guard. She was about average height, she wore purple glasses and had a messy blond bun hung on the back of her head.

"Oh, are you lost?" She looked at me, obviously confused why I was in here, but she wasn't quite angry.

"Um no, Commander Zana let me in here, she wanted to talk with me..." I explained.

"Oh Zana! You know when I was new here she was always there, whether it was giving me a tour or just helping me file paper-work." she smiled at me.

"Yeah, I can relate, she's been here for me ever since I was accepted into the force." I told her.

"Oh well isn't that funny?" She let out a bit of a laugh and walked over to the printer. She picked up what looked to be pie charts and she turned around and said, "Well you enjoy yourself alright?" She gave a wave and started to walk out the door and I realized something.

"Oh wait I didn't get your name!" I called after her. She looked almost flustered when I did, and she answered, "Oh, it's Cassandra." And with that she walked out the door.
