(In perspective of Andrometa):

Everyone was asleep, that is, everyone except me. I was just really concerned on our motive, what if we didn't complete our mission in time? What if we failed? Crustello said he had briefed me on everything I needed to know but I felt like there was so much more. I looked up at the stars and sighed. Then, I heard Matthew get out of his sleeping bag and he plopped down right next to me. he offered me some water but I told him I was alright.
"You couldn't sleep either?" He smiled, causing me to smile, we both looked up at the sky.

"Nah, just really excited for my first mission outside the mountains." I smiled.

"You've never even been on a market run? Or even a business trip with your parents?" Matthew looked surprised. I wanted to be mad at him for his inconsiderate behavior toward me never being outside the mountains before, but I just couldn't seem to stay mad at him, not anymore. Ever since the betrayal, things had been, well, DIFFERENT. And not in the ways you would think. I shuddered at the thought of just how close I was sitting next to Matthew.

"Oh, Andrometa are you cold?" Matthew looked into my eyes and I had to force my eyes to look down.

"Nah I'm fine, don't worry about me."I laughed awkwardly, and continued to laugh, non stop. "Stop laughing Andrometa." I told myself. I blushed, embarrassed by my oddly long laugh. Matthew took off his leather jacket, the one he NEVER takes off, EVER, then he wrapped his jacket around my shoulders and we sat in complete silence for a minute or so. "Thanks... Matt." I gave him an awkward hug and we continued to gaze at the stars.

"Huh, it's funny." Matthew continued.

"What?" I asked.

"Just the stars, do you ever wonder why they never went away? Never changed, never fought? And there are millions of them, scattered all around the sky."

"What's your point?"

"It's just, if billions of stars can get along, then why can't we? I just want this war to be over with, that's why we're going on this trip, isn't it?" He queried, then looked at me.

"Is that really the reason why?" Both Matthew and I looked down to the ground, then back up at the stars. We both knew I was talking about his parents, but I couldn't judge him. This mission was both beneficial for him dealing with grief, as well as the war going down the drain. So it was practically a win win for everyone.

"This jacket..." I looked at the coat wrapped around me, "it's..."

"A gift from my father before he left." He looked down.

"Oh that makes sense now, when we were little I always wondered why you never took it off. But why take it off for me?" Matthew's eyes trailed off into the distance then focused back on me. Staring intently into my eyes, he struggled to get something out,

"Andrometa I have something to tell you..." Matthew was interrupted.

"Can you guys just go to bed already! I need my beauty sleep!!!" An annoyed Danny sat up in her sleeping bag, tired and super grumpy. And you do not want to get on her grumpy side, especially with her weapon expertise. We both backed off and started to get ready to go to sleep.

"Goodnight Andrometa." It was such a simple sentence but yet it sounded like he was so unsure of it, like he wanted to say something but couldn't. And what had he wanted to say to me earlier? I tucked myself in, closed my eyes and thought, "I'll figure out soon enough."
