So. Uh.
I wrote a few chapters ago that I'd probably be discontinuing the book. And I wrote that 5 years ago. And because it's been 4 years since I last updated this, I doubt anyone is actually currently reading this at all anymore. And it really is a shame that I could never finish this (especially because there isn't as many Johnyong fics on here as you'd think).
One of the main reasons (BESIDES having no motivation left to write this) is that I realized I made the mistake of setting the timeline too far back. From where I left it, the story takes place in 2013/2014. I started writing in 2020 and it was supposed to end in what was "present day". I didn't know how to properly fill in the other 7 years. It would've probably just been a whole lot of nonsense.
This is also definitely a product of its time. Certain things from the way I typed to the updates I'd give about what albums were coming out in real time. I was 12 when I started writing this, I had just turned 14 right before the last chapter was published, and as of right now when I'm writing this (January 13, 2026) I'm about to turn 18 in a week. So obviously, it has its flaws. Probably more flaws than I'm actually remembering. Plus, I remember being embarrassed of what I wrote back THEN, and I really haven't reread this in maybe a month so I can't even tell you all the other things I wish I changed.
Back to the point. Because this has pretty much always been the fate for this book, here's what's gonna be put in place:
1. Like I said, I may not be able to finish this, but that doesn't mean no one else can. Right after this goes up, I'm gonna change the copyright from 'All Rights Reserved' to 'Attrib. NonCommercial', which means anyone can adapt/rework my story as long as they credit me. Please tag me! I would love to see what you turned the story into.
2. I'm gonna mark this book as 'complete' so that when you get to the end you can just add it to your archives easily.
3. The description for this book will have 'DISCONTINUED' at the top like it should've had 4 fucking years ago.
HOWEVER, I remembered the plot to a oneshot I once wrote for my NCT Ships book (it's LONG unpublished btw so don't go looking for it, you won't find anything), and I think it actually would've worked pretty well for the ending of this book. It has to be crazily reworked and rewritten (cuz not only is it meant to be a oneshot, but it's also the writing of am 11-year-old), but I'm gonna put it here.
It's probably gonna take a bit to fix, but it should be released in a few hours. Look forward to it (or not, idk).
