Felix wasn't back from his scouting and I was becoming more nervous by the second. Jimin was on his back and laid in my lap. I gently placed my hand on his chest and leaned against the sturdy headboard. It creaked slightly but took my weight.
"Are you ok y/n?" I hadn't realised Jimin was awake. Especially not when he looked so peaceful.
"Felix isn't back." I murmured. Jimin frowned and lifted his head slightly.
"Would you like me to go and find him?" He asked quietly.
"Only if you take me with you." He smirked and a playful glint danced in his eyes.
"Your father and brother will be very disappointed in us." He teased.
"When aren't they?" I asked with a grin. He stood up quickly and transformed into the biggest white Eagle I had ever seen. He stretched his magnificent snow white wings and flapped a few times, sending huge gusts of wind around the large room. I quickly jumped out of bed and opened the doors to the balcony.
Jimin stepped outside and let out a loud screech. Warning the Kingdom that we were leaving. I quickly climbed onto his back. I had no doubt my father and brother would descend upon this room in seconds.
"Let's go!" I shouted. Jimin stretched his huge wings out, and flapped, as he leapt from the balcony. I sat up and clung to a fistful of his silky feathers.
The sun was rising and a beautiful crisp breeze pinched my cheeks. I leaned forward and rested my head on Jimin's warm feathery back. He cooed softly as he soared higher into the clear skies above. The red hue was disappearing and winter had surely descended across these lands.
We were high above the Kingdom, and all the elves looked like ants, rushing around their business below us. I saw some of them stop and gaze upwards to admire the giant white bird that soared in the sky.
"Jimin-ssi! There's the hollow, let's get closer to the ground!" I called loudly. As we descended I saw a group of elves and my heart sank.
There was someone on the floor.
I lept from Jimin's back when we were a few feet above the ground. I landed with a slight thud, and quickly pushed through the group.
It was Felix.
His blood stained clothes were torn to shreds and deep wounds were scattered over his body.
"Lixy!" I rushed to him, and he whimpered slightly. I gently pulled his head into my lap and stroked his sweat soaked hair from his face. I looked around at all of the elves stood gawking at him.
"What are you doing?!" I yelled. "Fetch the high priestess at once!" They all scattered and began drifting back towards the Palace.
"Y/n..." Felix croaked. His deep voice was weak and I could barely hear him.
"Y/n. We have to do something! He'll die before the high priestess arrives." Jimin pulled a feather from his hair and shook himself down as he finished morphing back to his human form.
"What can we do?! She's the only one with healing powers!" I was in a state of panic and pushed my hair from my face. I gently tapped Felix's cheek to try and keep him conscious.
"She's not." Jimin bit his lip and pressed his hand to his forehead. He looked around to see if anyone else was near and slapped his hands to his sides.
"You're a-"
"Jimin, don't!" Felix's words sapped the last of his strength and he closed his eyes.
"I'm sorry Felix. I can't let you die." Jimin focused his gaze upon me. My heart was pounding and tears began blurring my vision. I could feel his body growing limp with every second that passed.
