(OK, so this is the last chapter. I have enjoyed writing this story so much and I am so sad it's ending. I'm so grateful to each and every one of you who have read this book. It will be slightly longer than the other chapters, and thank you again. I love you all so much and your overwhelming support is humbling. ILY)
I sat staring at the glorious forest, daydreaming about the man who haunted my thoughts and dreams daily. I wished Lee Felix was real and I wanted nothing more than to meet him.
"I love you Princess, my heart is yours."
"I love you too my Prince, my heart is yours."
Those words were repeating in my head. Over and over. Mochi came and settled on my legs and I rested my hand on his head gently. He yawned and rolled over displaying his chubby little tummy.
"My little Mochi. How sweet it would be to hear you talk." I sighed loudly and tickled behind his ears. Life seemed dull, and less magical than I had always remembered. I moved Mochi and stood. Heading for the forest. It felt like home to me now. These dreams had really changed my views on the once intimidating forest.
"Mochi! Dwaeji! Don't stray!" I called as I wandered down the familiar path. I wasn't sure how I knew my way around this magical land, but I did. I stopped at a tree and stared up. It was familiar in a weird way. I slowly reached out a shaky hand and touched the rough, fire scarred bark. My heart fluttered and I smiled.
I had been here before. A wind whistled through the trees above me and I shielded my eyes from the sunlight that leaked through.
"Arf!" Mochi grabbed my shoe and began tugging at it, urgently. It was as though he was trying to show me something. I began following him and he darted off ahead of me, until I could no longer see him.
"Mochi!" I quickly lifted Dwaeji off of the floor and took off in the direction Mochi had run. For such a clumsy little puppy, he was fast.
My heart was racing as I approached the familiar scene.
The clearing. The beautiful clearing from my dreams. I gasped and stood, staring at the abundant life growing around the regal looking Eldridgian Oak.
"Wh-What the?" I slowly entered the clearing and placed Dwaeji on the floor. He began snuffling and sniffing, trying to find something, as though he had lost something here and wished to reclaim it.
There was the tree. I needed to check. I had to find out if my dreams were not dreams. If they were instead, memories.
I needed to know if Felix was real. I slowly knelt at the base and began clearing the fresh green grass away from the place I was certain my handprints would be.
"Yah, I wouldn't do that." I jumped and stood quickly. The voice was familiar, and my heart pounded as it rang out around me. I span around and there he stood. In all of his glory.
My Mochi.
"J-Jimin?" I asked with wide eyes. Tears began biting at my eyes and my vision became blurry. I was so confused. Did that mean all of this was real? Had all of this been more than a dream? Or was I asleep? There was no way he was here. He couldn't be.
"Y/n... Why are you here?" I rushed to him and threw my arms around his neck. His familiar scent drifted up my nose and I sobbed like I had never sobbed before. My best friend, the one I had been missing so much, he was real!
"J-Jimin, what happened? Why am I human?" I asked through heavy whimpering. He held me close to him and rubbed my back soothingly. His familiar warmth was comforting and I wanted to stay like this forever.
