I walked bravely into the baron back yard. Slimy mud coated my shoes and they squelched with every step I took. Jimin had brought me here in the cover of night. I had told him to go and let the King's know.
I was hoping they would provide back up, or at the very least get Felix to safety. Yoonjun was waiting for me on the patio.
"Ah! Y/n! I thought I sensed your presence. How have you been babe?" His voice was heavy with sarcasm and I glared at him. His facial hair was unkempt and his hair had become messy and thick with grease.
"All the worse for seeing you." I hissed. "Where is Felix?" I demanded bravely. Yoonjun chuckled in delight.
"Did you really think coming here would set him free?" He tutted and headed back towards the house. I hesitated, and then followed him. I needed to make sure Felix was alive.
The stench of rotten food drifted from the kitchen and seemed to fill the whole house. I wretched slightly. He clearly had given up maintaining his perfect appearance. Clothes lay across what was left of the broken furniture, and the once beautiful wooden floor was dirty and littered with trash.
"Apologies for the mess. I was overcome with emotion once I realised the filthy elven vermin had taken you from me. I knew I should have killed that soul guide." I knew he was trying to get a reaction from me and I gritted my teeth so hard I thought they may crack. Now was not the time for me to lose my temper.
"Stop talking. I have no interest in anything you say." I instructed coldly. He chuckled again.
"It was only a couple of months ago we were laying in bed together. Have they really turned you against me that easily? You're more stupid than I ever gave you credit for." He mocked me with every word and it took every ounce of self control in my body not to scream at him.
He led me to the lounge where Felix was slumped on the sofa. He was bruised and battered and I rushed forward. Yoonjun caught me by the waist and stopped me in my tracks.
"Oh no. You don't get to rescue him that easily." He breathed into my ear. I fought against him, but he was much stronger than I. He placed a kiss on my cheek and I shuddered. Just being near him was making me want to vomit.
"Let me go!" I stamped on his foot as hard as I could and he yelped. I rushed to Felix and began examining him.
"You little bitch!" He roared. I stood protectively in front of the Prince and glared at him.
"Let Felix go. You can take me instead! Let me heal him!" I demanded. Tears began clouding my vision. This was all my fault.
"Why would I do that when I could simply keep you both here as hostages?" He glared at me as he spoke and I felt a tear escape my eyes.
"You have no business with him! It's me you've been after so please, let him go. I'll do anything!" I pleaded. He raised an eyebrow. I had obviously piqued his interest.
"Anything?" He enquired.
"Anything." I stated flatly.
"Well it looks like we have a deal. You have half an hour. If he's still here, then you will both be my prisoners. Good luck." He smirked and I immediately turned my attention to the beautiful broken elf in front of me.
"Y/n..." Felix's voice was barely a whisper. "Save yourself. Don't play into his hands!" He said softly.
"Shut up dummy, let me heal you. I'll be fine." I murmured. I began focusing my energy into my hands as I cast them over Felix's wounds. He groaned as the process started and tears were flooding down my cheeks. I just wanted him to be ok.
