Jimin bowed to the four figures in front of us. I followed suit. I still wasn't too clued up on elven etiquette. Not that it mattered anymore.
"Please stand." One of them instructed. I waited for Jimin and copied him. "Princess Kiara of the Air Elves of Anguard, High Elven soul guide Park Jimin of the east sea, you have both departed your bodies. You are now in the Heavenly planes. We welcome you to these lands." The man smiled at us and I looked sideways at Jimin.
He had his small fists clenched in determination.
"Heavenly Council, we wish to discuss the terms of our death with you. We want to challenge the decision." He stated confidently. They whispered amongst themselves.
"All decisions are final. You know this soul guide." One of them spoke.
"Heavenly Elf Taemin, please hear us out."
"Hi." I interrupted. "I think I remember all of you. Minho, Taemin, Onew and Key, right?" I asked as I looked between them.
"Princess! Address them by their full titles." Jimin hissed beside me. I smiled confidently and stepped forward.
"And what if I don't? They'll kill me? It's a little late for that." I remarked. Jimin rubbed his eyes in despair. But I knew what I was doing. I wanted them to be riled up so they would feel our plea. It was the only way to win with the council of the Heavenly Planes.
It was a mistake that had cost me dearly in my previous life.
"Princess. Watch your tongue!" Key glared as he spoke.
"Look I don't have time for you dummies. We have a problem and we need a resolution that means we leave and go back to our bodies, capiche?" I raised an eyebrow challenging them. I folded my arms. They all began shouting in protest of my attitude.
"Enough!" Minho shouted. Everyone fell silent.
"Please Heavenly Elf Minho. Hear our plea!" Jimin dropped to his knees and bowed deeply to them. I rolled my eyes. Minho and Taemin smirked. They always got a kick out of people begging.
"You have ten minutes." Onew said wisely.
We began explaining the urgency of our case. I knew we had to include every detail. If we missed a tiny crucial peice of the story, they would reject our request.
"So you see, if we do not return and regain the Princess' power, all of the elven Kingdom's are at risk. The Air Elves are the strongest of all the Kingdoms, and the Princess' power is virtually unmatched. We must retake it." I dropped to the floor next to Jimin and bowed.
Now was the time I needed to show respect.
"Give us time to review this story and make a decision. We will return at dawn." Taemin said.
Jimin and I remained in a respectful bow until the eagles were long gone.
"Now we wait." He said quietly. I nodded and reached for his hand instinctively. We sat, side by side. Waiting for the verdict.
Felix's POV
I took my leave of the throne and headed to the room where I knew she would still be. I had to see her one more time.
Her funeral was planned for three days from now. It gave the Anguardian Elves time to take her body home and lay it to rest where it belonged.
I entered the room and approached slowly. She looked like she was in a deep sleep and I wanted to pretend that's all it was.
"I'm so sorry y/n. I wish I could hold you once more. Why did you abandon me? Why didn't you just leave me to die? You're the dummy. Not me." I stroked some of her white hair from her face and placed my lips against her ice cold forehead.
