Yep, it's backstory time! TW: couple mentions of death but nothing too serious!

What a simple yet ominous name.

The Watchers.

Whoever they truly were, they seemed far from good people to Scott.

'Want to go back in?' Grian didn't want to share any more information... if he could help it.

'...Okay.' Scott gazed up at the sky, that was darkening by the second. He didn't want to be on the menu for the many undead mobs that plagued the night.

Grian turned back to the door, and knocked. Pearl opened it.

'You two done?' She seemed slightly concerned, yet calm, too.

'Yeah. We were just discussing what happened while we were separated. Apparently, Martyn had come over to here.' Grian replied, walking in. Scott took a moment to come back in, but was holding a cornflower. He went over to the rose-less flower pot and placed the blue flower in instead.

'Who's Martyn?'

'The name of the guy that got Mumbo.'

'Ah.'

There was an uneasy silence. Grian was thinking of the situations with Fwhip and Martyn, Pearl was sorting a chest that had recently been placed, Scott was studying the cornflower, and Jimmy... was still glancing at his shadow every now and again.

Jimmy broke the silence. 'Do I have buildings in my shadow, Scott?'

Scott couldn't help but facepalm.

'...You do know that me saying about something being 'in the shadows' was a figurative sentence? Something under a tree can be in the shadows!' Scott sounded mock-serious.

'Who would build directly under a tree?'

Pearl burst out laughing from her place in the room.

'Jimmy-' Scott started.

'Wait... that wasn't literal either, wasn't it.' Jimmy finally realised his mistakes.

The conversation broke Grian out of his train of thought. 'You really need to learn these things someday...'

'Wait. The reason why you've been glancing at your shadow since we came back is because of a comment by Scott? You take things way too literally.' Pearl tried to keep a straight face, but was ready to laugh again at any moment.

'Hey! Don't carry on!'

Scott smiled at him.

Dawn rose with the four players. They had successfully tried to get a bit of sleep before the long day. After all, it was time for the real mining session.

'Pearl, is it okay if I go instead of you? I'd like to meet this Fwhip person.' Scott asked.

She sat, contemplating for a moment. 'Sure!' Mischief laced her voice, and Scott hoped to not know why. 'You fine with that Grian?'

The avian was already standing and was sifting for mining tools for the trip. 'Yeah, I'm fine with that.'

He turned and handed Scott a few necessities; torches, logs, pickaxes, and a stack of cobble. The resources were limited, however, as they still hadn't found any iron yet. 'Are you ready?' Grian questioned. Scott nodded. 'Well, bye you two! Try not to get into too much mischief!'

Scott knew the final part was directed towards Pearl.

'We won't!' Jimmy assured, yet Pearl simply smiled as the two turned away, into the staircase.
